I'm a bit excited and a little nervous! I got asked by a corporate client yesterday to cover one of their events at the end of the year. It works out at 108 hours of twisting!!!!

I've been learning twisting since last Christmas and I feel like I I'm up to a reasonable standard (for line work models), I just need to perfect my presence in front of a crowd. I have done 4 or 5 events now so I am growing in confidence, and I have a few more lined up in the coming months to help build that.

Exciting times.

Cool, well done. I have done one event and am hoping that I will get by word of mouth initially. The organiser of the event I was at is a Facebook friend and has been following my twisting endeavours! I also have a few presents to give to people that will take the form of balloons in some way so I'm hoping to get things noticed like that! Looking forward to seeing you progress!

Yup, 6 hours a day for 18 days! It's spread over 6 weeks so I'm not too concerned as long as my fingers hold up.

I've been fairly lucky on that front as my other half is a face painter who has been in business 3 years so I have just started advertising as an add-on. I have been giving a pre-made balloon as a gift too at her events which seem to go down well.

I can't take all the credit for this booking though, she has secured a repeat booking from last year, but they saw on our facebook page that we now offer balloons and wanted to book both services with just the one supplier.

Do you have a business page or have you been posting them on your personal profile?

Why not create a page, get some of your friends to like it and start to build it from there. It'll take time to grow your likers but it can be done with a little work.
