Hi,
We are planning to create a shop window display using balloons, but we don't know what sort of balloons to use, what to inflate them with and how long they are likely to last. It is in direct sunlight (although not such an issue this time of year!) and can get quite warm as it's an enclosed space. Can someone suggest what we should use?

Where are you based? When is it required for?, if short on time maybe get someone in that can do it for you.

Well a good selection of all different shapes and sizes would be nice to make it more pleasing to the eye.
There again everything perfectly formed and shaped in one size would look very artistic.
PS, the round balloons in the picture have been over-inflated, but that too is a look.
That's what we were thinking, not decided whether to go all one colour and style or do a mix yet. Do you think it will matter what type of balloon we use? How can you tell they are overinflated and will this make them more likely to burst?

An overinflated round balloon looks more like a lightbulb. Only inflate rounds so they are round like a globe.
For longer lasting balloons and to keep them shiny, only use professional decorating balloons and rub them with armoral or another car product to make tires and vinyl shiny. This will also slow the loss of air from each balloon.

Thanks for the tips everyone - are there any recommended sources (Uk based) that come recommended for sourcing balloons? Any suggestions on types to look for would be useful too.

You'll probably need something more than a hand pump to blow them up. I've only used a manual floor pump to any extent myself which would be better, but my guess is that electric is the way to go for this job. Perhaps someone could advise.
You could use air filled round latex, q balloons and foils. Go to www.thequalatexevent.com (http://www.thequalatexevent.com) web site, you can down load some designs with instructions on how to make them. Use balloon shine on the latex this will help the balloons to look good longer.Quote from: "18bikes"Hi,
