I've been twisting for a few years now (part-time) and I've been very keen to learn decor, I've made a start and done a few designs for friends and family and the likes.

I keep hearing about the CBA programme and I think it's something I'd like to get to grips with, a new challenge for 2017 possibly. Have any of you twisters done the CBA program? Do you think it's possible to proficient at both decor and twisting?

Hi Woblee.

Funny you write this. I too am working towards it. I have taken the first step and joined the QBN (or rather I've received the package to work towards that too....) Then apparently they are running the next CBA exams in the summer. I'm even newer to balloons than you so I doubt I'll pass first time, or second or third!! However I joined as they teach you a lot as you go and there was a discount to add the exam package so I thought I'd give it a go. Even if I don't pass it's teaching me as I go. You get 4 DVDs teaching you different subjects on decor. I mainly twist but I am branching out as I find it good fun and interesting to do a bit of both :)

That's great, are you doing it in stages or did you get the full bundle?

I got all of it, I believe it was cheaper so I'll do it at my leisure.

1 down and 2 to go, I passed the basics this morning and got our foot through the door as a QBN member :)

Well done! I have now done all 3, I think they get easier luckily. Can't say I'm feeling confident about the CBA, I really know very little so will wait to see what the dates are for it before I decide when I'll go for it  :D

I might have a quick skip through the 2nd DVD tonight but I really want to get some practical experience in too. I was a bit surprised I only got 1 mark out of 2 for my description of a 260Q!!

Haha there were some questions where I thought "How did I get that wrong??" Then realised I didn't read the question properly.......
