Well done Millie. It sounds like you had a blast.  :D
Also, I agree about everyone on here being an inspiration. Such a great community.  :D

for taking a break.. I just check who is there and say in a loud voice regulary dont join the line I am doing these "number left" and having a break/going to lunch/finished for the day, sorry.. and keep saying it until I have completed those in front of me.. then if someone comes up after them and says the 'inevitable' we have been waiting for ages.. I can say have you not heard what I have been saying for the past 10/15/20 minutes???

They usually scurry off

But then most will agree I am not the quietest person on the block..

I do the same but finalise the line by handing out raffle tickets to those who are waiting, starting from the back of the line.  Someone without a ticket wasn't there when I closed the line.

Simple and no arguments.  :-)

I really like that idea Charles. I once saw a face painter do similar, but instead of tickets, she painted a number on the hands of those waiting

Hand out tickets.....The best way to end a line, I find. I start handing out 20 tickets about 3/4 hr before I'm due to finish. Works every time!

It seems my cap and gown from Lynae must have gotten lost in the post, so I went ahead and ordered a "Twist-em Up" apron instead.  I have been procrastinating about doing that due to the cost but decided after seeing and using one borrowed from a friend that I just had to have my own.  I think it will be much better than a cap and gown!!!!
