Personally, i don't think there is anything wrong with the look of the forum. Light blue/darker blue is easy on the eye and looks great.

As I mentioned before (and you have already started to change them), just the layout and the naming & order of sections could be refined.

Adding the new logo is fab and the balloon letters one will be even better.

Keep going Graham - its fantastic!
