What is the lifespan of balloons that haven't been used? I have a bag of fleabays finest so I'm suspecting that the lower quality of the balloons also has a part to play in the fact that they go down fairly quickly. Second point how many times can a balloon be twisted, untwisted then retwisted. As im quite a newbie I undo and redo quite afew to get them right but they end up with small holes after one or two renditions.

Andy I have had my balloons for quite a while and they seem fine. I keep them in bags in a box. The trick is away from sun light and heat. For twisting and retwisting, if I am being honest you can keep doing it until it pops. The reality is after the first twist and undo you wi lose pressure and the shape will not be the same (kinks, bends etc) rob

I really wouldn't bother with cheap balloons to save a quid or so. It's just not worth it. Qualatex all the way.

Thanks rob and chris.

I suspected that it may be the quality being responsible for the quicker degradation. I bought them as a have a go last year, then worked away for 6 months and didn't take anything with me. As ive been asked to do some twisting at a school fete I have a Qualatex order waiting at the interlink depot forme to sort in the morning.

From my understanding they will keep longer if kept really cool like in the fridge , I believe some keep them in the freezer phil

I still have 1/2 a dress in my husbands bar fridge, waiting to be finished. Where ever I got the info - that they can go in the fridge, is awesome - its allowed me to create sculptures days in advance!
