I have been building a motor bike over the weekend.
I have taken a few pictures along the way and will start to post them
all just in case anyone was interested in having a go at making one.
I made this one a few weeks back and it's a more
detailed version of this that I have been making.
The rear wheel and mudguard.
This is the position I was looking for but in the final pictures you will see
the wheel did turn rather a lot anti clockwise making the frame on the right
go from between 2 and 4pm to 12 till 2pm. That was a opps...............
This is where I think I went wrong, the support for the seat
was an 8 and a 4 finger bubble and was going to go the way as in picture 5
but later in the build as in picture 6 I switched it around which then made
the seat fully over the rear wheel and a motorbike seat should only be half over.
Getting the seat to sit flat on the rear wheel.
Adding the rear light which was where I wanted it to sit.
On final model it was slightly lower on the wheel.
The curve from the seat to the petrol tank took a while
to get it to sit nicely. At the moment the seat sits too high.
It gets adjusted later.
I did not like the look of the angle for the seat/petrol so changed that later.
I filled up the see through tank and added the front light.
Can you see how the rear wheel turned anti clockwise on
me which changed the look of the rear wheel and frame.
The engine sections.
The seat slanted backwards so I took out the front chrome section so it sat more level.
Then I added an extra chrome from the wheel to lower engine section.
Adding the engine sections and the exhausts.
The finished bike. Hope the pictures have helped anyone who was thinking
of having a go at making a motorbike now or some time in the future.
If you do then please post how you got on.....Thanks.
