Lois Devlin Promoted to Pioneer Europe Chairman
   
Pioneer Balloon Company (USA) and Pioneer Europe Limited (UK) have announced that Lois Devlin has been promoted to the newly-created position of Chairman, Pioneer Europe.  In this role, she will be responsible for charting future direction for Pioneer Europe's business and its organizational structure.  In addition, she will now be a member of the US parent company's Executive Operating Committee and will play a key role in the group's overall market development activities.
"We're pleased that Lois is stepping up to this new challenge," says Ted A. Vlamis, Pioneer's President.  "For over twenty years, she has been a key leader of our European operations and as Chairman of Pioneer Europe she will continue to provide overall guidance to those operations, while now having more time to focus on other global corporate priorities," he added.
Lois says one of her first areas of focus will be the future structure of Pioneer Europe's management team and recruiting a new Managing Director.  "Our team has done a great job bringing us an impressive level of business," she said.  "With my new responsibilities, we will refine our structure and supplement the team so that we can achieve further significant growth.  Finding the right person to succeed me as Managing Director will be a key to this effort."
   Lois Devlin joined Pioneer Europe in 1991 as Sales Manager and was quickly promoted to the role of Managing Director.  Under her leadership, the company has multiplied its sales and has been a growth leader in the Pioneer group.

Marie Gransbury to join Pioneer Europe Board

Marie Gransbury will join Pioneer Europe Limited in May as Managing Director, Lois Devlin announced today.  The company had previously promoted Devlin to the role of Chairman.

"I am delighted that Marie has agreed to join us" said Lois. "Her wide-ranging experience and the respect which she commands in the industry will be huge assets to Pioneer and I'm very much looking forward to working on the same side after so many years in competition."

Marie started Anagram International in the UK in 1987 and went on to become Managing Director of Amscan International, a position she held until late 2008.  More recently she has been involved in the retail sector developing party stores within key national accounts.

"I am delighted and privileged to have the opportunity to join Pioneer Europe as Managing Director" said Marie.  "Whilst I have enjoyed my recent role and gained huge insight from a retail perspective, this position puts me back into the heart of an industry that I care about passionately.  This is a great opportunity and I look forward to working with the Pioneer team."

I won't be renewing my subscription!

It's a good little read with some useful information between the covers, I will keep my subscription going.
I will have a word with Qualatex about how slow the magazine seems to be to get to this side of the pond, can but ask.

I have them of facebook and they say it will be going out in the states this week. which means 2-4 weeks in the uk. Just feel that what I get from it when Christmas and Easter issues always seem to arrive after the event and not before.

Look at it that they are not 4 weeks late but 48 weeks early so we all have plenty of time to work out the designs
