I am thinking of doing a project with a large number of children at my school. Trying to get as many involved as possible. I was thinking of making simple shapes and combining them to create much larger creations. This way, I hope eh can all have a go at making something but then see it come together with others in a spectacular way.
Anyone any ideas or done something similar? Or is is completely nuts?

I have been having a play. I am sure his is not a new technique but it is new to me. Made by creating two rings of 4 bubbles then passing one set between the other to create a cube. I then break off the rest and tie and hen use this to attach to another cube.
So far, I have a line of cubes an intend to continue to make a larger Rubik style cube.
A possible idea for a mass project as any number of cubes could be joined. I used 350's for this but no reason why 260's wouldn't work with the kids.

Here is the finished cube and a pic of my daughter sat on it. The rows of three cubes were joined together with the other rows using 160's

Using the same technique, I was able to make two consequative cubes from a 260. The downside here is that the ends of the balloon end up in between the two, thus limiting connection possibilities.
