Hello Everyone, just a little about what the Guild is incase anyone would like to join.
It was set up in April 2011 with the idea of having 10 balloon days all over the UK, there are Seven "Care & Share" days and Three "Star Lecture" days which are filmed and a DVD is sent out to members, so even if you are unable to make all of the dates you get a flavour and a feel to what was taught. The cost for the year is £120 if paid by cheque/bank transfer. Credit card payments are £125 to cover admin fees. We are just setting up a monthly PayPal scheme to spread the cost over the year, as yet the fee is to be decided.
The Star Lecture days for 2011 were, David Brenion, Dennis Hogers and Ken Stillman.
For 2012 we had, Colin Myles and Shirley Ray. Patrick van de Ven and Ed Chee
For 2013 so far we have booked Antonio Becares Rodriguez.
The "Care & Share" days vary as sometimes we get a mystery lecturer and members also get up and show the latest creation they are working on.
The "Star Lecture" days are two day events with a care & share day first and the star lecture on the second day so if you do have to travel we find a cheap hotel and make it a mini convention.
Membership is open to all, UK and abroad and it normally takes 6/8 weeks from the star lecture day to send out the relevant DVD.
Pictures from the days can be seen in the events section.
There is a thread on the subject as well but be warned it is over 37 pages long, forum-balloon-club-idea-t3447.html (http://balloonchat.co.uk/forum-balloon-club-idea-t3447.html)
Any questions then please ask away,
TBAG MONTHLY PAYMENT PLAN
Dear All,
The next membership period for The Balloon Artistes Guild will run from 1st April 2013 to 31st March 2014. This year will be running a monthly payment plan to help members cover the cost of joining by paying £13-50 per month via paypal over a ten month period (total cost £135).
As this is a one-year trial, automatic subscription payments will not be possible as we do not want to setup a full paypal business account but will look to doing this if we get a large number of members.
So this is how it will work....
To join the scheme you need to make your first payment via paypal BEFORE 1st April by sending £13.50 to tbagpay@hotmail.com (mailto:tbagpay@hotmail.com)
This scheme is kindly being offered by Graham on a trust basis and I am managing the payment process and accounts (for no financial gain and yes I will be paying for my membership!)
Here comes a new member :)
Steve
Can I just point out that the Exeter/Tiverton day on Wed 6th March is the last BAG day for 2012/13 and the Leeds day, Wed 20th March, Shirley Ray Deco/Twisting is the first day for 2013/14 although membership does run from 1st April. Because we had to fit 10 days in for Qualatex before the end of June this was the only way I could work things out, the basic day the day before Shirely on Tuesday 19th March is free to attend and is not an offical BAG day.
So the new members we have for 2013/14 at the moment are
Graham Lee
Darren (Nippy99)
Thelma Levett
Diana Dews
Kevin Steadman
Steven Dagsland
Are you still doing the couples membership?
Yes, at a guess for the price £195
Ade has re-joined, it is a very small group at the moment,
Graham Lee
Darren (Nippy99)

me too! :)
If anyone wants to pay monthly via PayPal the email address is,
tbagpay@hotmail.com
Just a reminder that the ability to join the monthly payment scheme will end this month - so you have 21 days to sign up....
Just an update on members, I think two or three have said they will be re-joining at the Leeds day next week.

Today is your last day to sign up for the monthly payment scheme!
Olivia Post has just re-joined :D
Darren and I have been looking at the monthly payments plan and you can still sign up any time during the year,
the monthly fee will stay the same as this makes things easier for Darren and you just have to make a one off payment for the months missed. Hope that makes sense?
I know we have discussed this before and now I have finally got around to adding them to the website. The 2011 BAG DVD's are now available for £99 but only as a full set.
The 2012 DVD's are also online at £120 for the full set, all monies raised will go to club to help promote balloon modelling and to pay for lectures for the coming year.
We have a new member :) :D Lisa Chester, thanks for joining Lisa.
welcome to the gang Lisa

Pete Watts has just re-joined and I have had a few emails from others asking about re-joining so fingers crossed the numbers are creeping back up.
Julie Hayward has just re-joined :D
Would anyone like to comment on this? A BAG DVD was up for sale on EBay, as a member has bought this I suppose he can do as he wishes but the DVD is for club members only I was not sure of things and if it was an original copy. Would anyone like to comment?
Is it still for sale?
Someone has bought it but as they are meant just for club members maybe it should not have been sold on?
You can buy them still from the website, Vol 1/3 are £99 and 4/6 £120 the same as club membership, http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/catal ... -14-2.html (http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/catalog/DVD_s_CD_s-14-2.html)
If the item is not for resale toucan contact eBay and they will make them remove the listing
Fingers crossed that at Birmingham this week we will get a few new members for the club, I know of three who are going to re-join :D
Our latest member is Rhian so the numbers are creeping back up.
Pleased to say we had 5 new members join at the super duper day, David Crofts, Dave Hickory, Colin Tulley and then a joint membership of Nici and Jay.

We have now got sponsorship from Qualatex till the end of the year with two more dates being sponsored. :)
We are looking to have two basic days in Birmingham 1st/2nd Oct and then the Brian Asman star lecture 25th Oct and I'm looking into having a deco twisting day on the Tuesday 24th Oct.
All dates are still not confirmed as yet.
Have I been left off the list? can't seem to find me on there and I'm starting to feel lonely :(
Oh yes, sorry Dan. Another one of my mistakes :o will add you next time but you did re-join so many thanks.
Just to keep everyone up to date on days covered so far for the BAG members, we have done five dates this year,
Leeds with Shirley Ray
Bristol Care & Share
Manchester Care & Share
Birmingham Pam and Paul
Birmingham Antonio
I am missing from the list also!
Quote from: "Twistina"I am missing from the list also!
I must sack the secretary of BAG, oh hang on it's me, consider myself sacked. Sorry Christine another foe par.
If anyone is interested in joining The Balloon Artistes Guild for this year, I am offering a one-off chance to join the monthly payment scheme. Starting this month (July), you can pay £27 per month for the next 6 months (total price £135).
If interested please message me for joining instructions!
Thanks
Just a quick one-what number should we be up to on the BAG DVDs as I'm lost now
There have been six for the first two years, I am taking the first one of year three from Antonio down to Lord G on Thursday.
Thanks Graham, I'm now back on track :)
DVD 7 is being edited at the moment from the Antonio lecture last month, a slight technical problem is that for some reason we will have the date and time on the DVD screen.
I'm assuming I must have hit an extra button somewhere along the way, I have not seen it yet but Geoff says it's not too bad but would have been better without...........OOOPs
Quote from: "Graham Lee"..but would have been better without...........OOOPs
Shall we all go back and do it again?
I had to sit down to do it too!
But honestly it is money well spent.....I recommend joining BAG.. all levels of twisters.
Quote from: "Graham Lee"From Bristol we have two new members, Barbara and Amanda re-joined :D And I have a picture of Amanda signing the cheque.
David Tan from Singapore has just rejoined :)

I will be picking up the master copy from Lord G on Thursday from the memorial lecture with Antonio and hope to have them all ready to post out to members by the end of the month.

I make that 41 members, I do not count joint members as two as they share a DVD.
I went to pick up the master copy today from Lord G for the memorial lecture DVD and have to say when I put it on the computer it brought a tear to my eye.
I took some pictures of David along to the event and we had them on the chair centre stage before the lecture started and Geoff has included them into the DVD.
A nice moment, I was touched.
Will have a quick look through later today and then send it off tomorrow to get copied for club members.
The DVD's are being printed as we speak, artwork has also been sent so not long now :)
I'm looking forward to receiving mine! I hope you didn't edit out Antonio's reference to my Multi-Award Wining status!
Quote from: "BongoBalloons"I'm looking forward to receiving mine! I hope you didn't edit out Antonio's reference to my Multi-Award Wining status!
I have nothing to do with the editing, I leave that all to Geoff. When was it mentioned?
I think it was when he was teaching the pinch line - he mentioned my winning chainsaw design and suggested I could use the pinch line for the blade.
The DVD's from the Antonio lecture have just arrived, I got 60 made as we are hoping a few more will join the club :D
Will try to get these posted out on Monday to the club members.
Well some of these may go out this afternoon as Lyn is writing all the envelopes as we speak, well as I type actually but never mind :)
They have all been packed up and posted out today, please don't get too excited as it was only second class post.
Mine has just arrived :D
many thanks graham.
just had a quick look. content and filming look fantastic. these dvd are well worth the membership thanks again for all the work you put in
I have received and watched the DVD (Thanks for putting up with my impatient requests Graham  ) I had purchased other work / designs from Antonio, but the man is a talented Entertainer, I enjoyed every minute of the inspiring DVD and will probably watch a few more times yet.
Great Job, just sorry I couldn't actually be there  ! Thanks again to one and all. :D
If you become a TBAG member you can make these....

We had two new members join the club last week at the event, Tess Cartwright and David Craner. I think we now have 43 members.
We have three more care and share days to book for 2013/14. They will be in Bishops Stortford Jan and then a two day event in Leeds for March.
Star lecturer still to be announced.
Dates covered so far are,
Leeds with Shirley Ray
Bristol Care & Share
Manchester Care & Share
Birmingham Pam and Paul
Birmingham Antonio
Banstead Roger Daws
Banstaed Brian Asman
I was looking to hold the Bishops Stortford Day Wed 15th Jan and the Leeds two day event, Tue, Wed 11/12th March.
Nothing confirmed yet, just wanting to see if this clashes with anything?
Hello All
As a newly joined member, I am as yet unsure about the why's and wherefores of the Guild. I would like something which states that I am indeed a paid up member and I have thought about the posibility of having a Polo shirt with the logo embriodered on. Does anybody know if this is permissible please.
Thanks
Hi David, We did start to get a logo together. Rob got the ball rolling and then I got a few people to add to it but it got a little muddy shall we say with what people thought should be on the logo and what the idea of the club stood for etc. There is a thread here somewhere, off to look for it.
I think this is the main thread, the-balloon-artistes-guild-logo-t6850.html?hilit=bag (http://balloonchat.co.uk/the-balloon-artistes-guild-logo-t6850.html?hilit=bag) logo
Can someone confirm for me that those of us not currently TBAG members can attend the Leeds STAR Lecture day in March and will membership run from April for 2014/15?
Hi Andy, yes anyone can attend any of the days, club members and non club members. We always have a day rate and also an early bird special price as well.
The club membership does run from 1st April 2014 till the end of March 2015 but as yet we are not sure if the club will continue. For the past three years the club has not been braking even, I did think we would have a few more members now we are into the third year and nearly at the end of year three. We might have to cut our cloth accordingly and maybe just have the 6 main days, the three star lecture two day events in Leeds, Birmingham and Sutton. I also thought the club would be run more as a club as well with everyone helping out a little more. 10 days for £120 plus 3 DVD's, it must be the bargain of the year but still some just turn up, enjoy and walk away without helping here and there. Maybe I ask too much?
I will also add there are 3/4 club members who also go beyond and help all the time, so thank you to them.
Well if the club does continue into the 2014/15 year then I will certainly be an extra member. I haven't been to any of the days, much to my regret, but I think there must be a lot of people missing a trick on here, 10 days plus DVDs for the princely sum of £120 is a great deal, even more so with the monthly instalments.
If I can do anything to help keep the club going please let me know.
Quote from: "andyc277"If I can do anything to help keep the club going please let me know.
Could you russell up 65 paying members :D That would be nice.
I have about that many imaginary friends but they only pay imaginary money! :D
I went down to see Lord G on Tuesday and he will be working on the editing of the Brian Asman star lecture. Hoping to get this out mid Jan...............Maybe.
I suggested to Graham on a PM that an associate membership might appeal to the masses to increase numbers, I was thinking along the lines of a lower price that wouldn't include the DVDs from the Star Days and/or a discount on the Care & Share days. Graham kindly educated me on the value for money that the BAG gives a member. £120 for 10 days training along with sharing ideas, experiences and abilities, plus the Star Lecture Days, plus the DVDs of the Star Lectures. Qualatex do their own training, £80-£95 for a single day. I don't claim to be a maths genius but even I can see that huge void between the 2.
I am currently not a member of the Balloon Artistes Guild, thanks there goes to work and working away for over 6 months of this year, however I fully intend to be a member at the beginning of the next membership year, April 2014 onwards.
Graham has already described on this thread the challenges that the guild is facing regarding finances due to a less than ideal number of members. I feel it would be a great loss to those who have been / currently are members and those of us new to the industry to lose such a valuable asset. I would ask you all to think of how many model ideas, tips, tricks and pieces of advice you have received from being part of this site. Now imagine how many different things you would pick up from talking to people face to face and watching professional twisters doing their thing live, not to mention meeting others who are in exactly the same position as you. All this has the potential to disappear due to a lack of membership along with what I can only imagine to be a phenomenal amount of blood sweat and tears on the part of Graham.
I would ask you all to join the guild again next year, encourage other to join and develop your own abilities and continue to grow this fascinating industry. If nothing else keep this guild going so we can all continue to feed off the genius and efforts of Graham and co.
How about the exact opposite type of membership from what andyc277 suggested? -- something that would just include the DVDs for the Star Lecture Days for those of us from the U.S. who could never make it to a Share & Care Day (although they sound great!).
I was just updating the list of members and forgot to mention that Susie Hillman also joined the club at the Brian Asman day and we also have a new member Mari Farrell.
This is the full list..............I Think!!!!!

I make that 47 members including the joint memberships, I will be emailing all club members tonight about the balloon artistes guild for 2014/15.
And just to remind all monthly subscribers, your final payment is due this month!
And the question is..................what happens now to BAG?
Thanks Darren for sorting the monthly payment plan out, cheers.
Perhaps we could discuss it on 21st January? :)
I'm sending an email out to members, was going to do it last night but got waylaid and not sure I will have time tonight but an email will be on it's way soon to everyone.
Sounds a good idea Danny - over some birthday cake :-)
Just a thought... Whilst you simply cannot beat physical days where you meet other balloon nutters and make new friends, one suggestion would be to have a reduced number of balloon days and add some on line virtual meetings similar to what other Facebook groups run but usually at stupid o'clock. They work quite well. A number of exclusive sessions could be for full members and then have some guest sessions for £5 a time for an hour/90 mins sessions covering a free designs. They could be run for almost nothing and would make it easier for oversea guests to join in. This may be a good way to generate funds for the group and entice more members.

I think the silly o'clock ones will be on a dvd or downloadable sometime soon as all have been recorded.
Thanks for the input Darren, not sure I'm the person to take anything technical forward and maybe sometimes it's a good idea to stand aside for others? Maybe?
So for next year which I would like to do as it will be the tenth year of the care and share days, how about £130 for six days. Three events all being a two day event with one of the days recorded, the increase is to cover a buffet lunch in Birmingham early July.
Usual places, Leeds, Birmingham and Sutton. For non members the star lecture will be, to be continued.
I'm back, so the star lecture day will be £50 to attend and the day before £25, a total of £225. So being a member will save nearly £100 and you get the buffet lunch in Birmingham and the three DVD's. I would like to have a few days around the country that go back to the roots of an original "Care & Share" day where everyone turns up and mucks in, no lectures as such although
I think to have a basic session first thing would work to encourage everyone to attend. Maybe the days will spur a few on to join the balloon artistes guild.
All of the above are suggestions to help promote our balloon art and to keep BAG continuing.
Sounds good to me and still incredible value. Will we be offering the monthly payment scheme again?
I have spoken with Lord G today and the DVD for BAG members of the Brian Asman day will be ready for me to pick up when I get back from America,
he had to get a new laptop as his old one went kaput.
I picked up the master copy DVD today, hoping to get this out for the end of the month.
The balloon Artistes Guild 2014/15 £125, bank transfer, cash. £130 PayPal, credit card.
We will try to run the 10 days with three star lecture days with maybe club members running the day before and then the four other days having a selection of guest lecturer, club members and myself. The star lecture days will be £35 on early bird for the first 5, then £45 for the next five and then £55 which is still a bargain for a world international balloon artiste. The day before will be £15 on the early bird as normal for the first 10 and then £25.
Birmingham two day event is a special party day and lunch will be included in the price, we will also run a raffle to help club funds at these two days.
Would someone like to organise this for us?
Two day spectacular, Birmingham.
We have Sue Bowler booked for 1st July and Thelma Levett booked for 2nd July for the "David Grist Memorial Lecture"
Im guessing you have elected not to continue with the monthly payments? And when does the money need paid by please?
Glad to see its continuing.
Yes we are having a monthly payment scheme, Darren has volunteered to do this again. The start date is April 1st but I would like people to join early if they could.
It would also be great if everyone could promote the club and maybe find a new member.
I was also thinking that maybe we should make the star lecture days a little more expensive, reasoning being that at £35, if some one wanted to attend two days it would be better to pay the £70 than £125, a big gap but if the days were £50/60 then for only a few extra pounds it would be better to join the club and get the DVD's as well.
Graham thanks for running the BAG for another year, I was ready to pay at the Bishops Storford day but you were unsure if it would continue. I have put my pennies in a jar and will bring them to Leeds care and share. ;)
I am up for another year too, wouldn't miss it for the world.

Im in, one new addition
Graham
Just an idea as an incentive. How about offering small bonuses for members that find a member. Not sure what it would be may be recommend and get 3 sign ups and get a star day free. This way you 'could' get 3 sat turn delegates as well as memberships. It does not affect me as I only know the twisters I have met in the forum but it could be fun Andean people try to be more persuasive. Just a thought! Just to add I am made up about the forum going on for another year I love meeting and learning!
Rob
If anyone wants to join the monthly payment scheme it will run over 10 months at £13.50 per month. To help us manage numbers and to ensure we get everyone signed up and committed to the club, this year the scheme will run from FEBRUARY 2014 to NOVEMBER 2014. Anyone can sign up to the monthly payment scheme by sending £13.50 to the club paypal account tbagpay@hotmail.com. This will count as your first payment with the next one being due in March and every month thereafter.
This offer will only remain open until the end of FEBRUARY so make sure you sign up as soon as possible if you wish to take advantage of this easy payment option.
If you do sign up, please also send me a private message with your home address and postcode so Graham will know where to ship your DVDs.
JUST TO REMIND EVERYONE THIS IS FOR TBAG 2014/2015 AND ONLY APPLIES TO EVENTS FROM 1ST APRIL 2014 ONWARDS! (SO THE UPCOMING LEEDS EVENT IS NOT INCLUDED)
Cheers
Hi another thought on increasing membership. Could we not ask other balloon suppliers such as Funtime faces and playtime balloons to include a specific flyer in all there sales to advertise only the forum. May be we sell it as trying to maintain a strong community to ensure the industry goes from strength to strength. Just a thought rob
I have just put these details below all over facebook, if any members do see the thread maybe you could write a little about how nice the club is, what fun days they are etc etc.
But only if you think they are, we do need a few new members,
THE BALLOON ARTISTES GUILD, This has been running now in the UK for three years. The club has been meeting 10 times a year with seven care & share days where we have mini lectures and then we have 3 International star lecture days which are filmed for club members only. To attend all 10 days and to get the DVD's is Only £125. At the moment we have 37 members, non members are welcome to all the days as well for a small nominal fee. The membership runs from 1st April. For more info, http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/pages ... _club.html (http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/pages/uk_twister_club.html)
or please just get in touch. PLEASE could you share and pass on this post as we are looking for a few new members, thank you.
I have just put up the booking details for Sue Bowler on the 1st July, on the early bird the price will be £50 but only for the first 5 to book, the price then will go up to £65.
The idea for the price increase is to tempt people to join the club, so it is cheaper to join the club than attend two days, before it used to be £70 to attend two days and £120
for the club so a big difference, lunch is also being provided at the Birmingham days and I'm hoping club members attending will pay the £5 per day charge for lunch.
We have our first paid up member for 2014/15, Joanne Burford. Welcome to the club Joanne :) Just another 49 to go :D

Guess what is being posted out today?
Well that was a challenge posting the latest DVD out, the post office did not have enough second class stamps so I had to have some first class, some second class and some had four 20p stamps on. It was just the luck of the draw what was put on what so some might be having the DVD drop through your letterbox tomorrow morning. Anyway they have been posted although
we have a slight problem, we have accounted for 43 members and 49 DVD's, we ordered 50 but we have 44 members but we cant find the missing DVD :(
So if after Wed you have not received a DVD then please get in touch and we will send out one to you.
Ooops  I must apologise to Michael, he paid me at twist and shout last year to be a member and it completely slipped my mind until he said hello on facebook just now.
So there I was saying we had 37 paid up members for 2013/14 and we had 38, sorry Michael, I will post two of your DVD's out to you this week to catch up.
Thanks for joining again as well for next year 2014/15
So to try and keep the members list up to date, members from 1st April 2014 are

I have thought and thought about joining the guild. Unfortunately I am a pensioner and do not do a whole lot of balloon business. (If I did, the darn government would take it away in taxes anyway.) Since I live in Canada, it is not likely that I will ever be able to attend one of the balloon days  . I would however, love to be able to say that I am a member of the Balloon Artists Guild. Is there any way to have a tier system of membership fees so that people like myself can join?
Hi Millie, yes we are going to be offering international membership for £99. You will get the three star lecture DVD's and can also pay monthly.
We are hoping this may encourage a few more to join and hope it helps others as well.
Colin has asked a good question, he has taken a full time midweek job so is unable to attend any of the days and asked if it was possibly to have a reduced UK membership so that he and others that have mid week commitments could receive just the DVD's. Any members got a view on this?
Go for it, maybe its a bit like the International membership idea?
Graham I agree. I think it's a good way to get members whose subscription can help cover costs of the TBAG membership. If we can convince 50% of the Facebook follows to sign up we are sorted. I think it should be 89 so it's the cost of 3 DVDs at 30 each... Just my opinion.
My concern is that we get more members for just the DVD's than full paying, will chat with members who come to Leeds and do a mail shot to all BAG members.
If the majority are happy with this then fine, yes getting a few facebook members to join is what we are after.
I will post some more pictures from days gone by next week to try and tempt them.
Graham this would be strictly for international members only who will not be able to attend any of the days
Quote from: "Robeagling"Graham this would be strictly for international members only who will not be able to attend any of the days
As the person who asked Graham the question, I've been keeping out of this so far.
My reason for asking if the 'dvd only' membership was going to be open to anyone was that, just like the international members, I will be unable to attend any days for the foreseeable future. Saying that they can have the discount but I can't feels a bit unfair, especially if their dvds cost more to post than mine too.
My view is that the DVD only offer should only be open to international members and priced at £99.
Some good news is we have some new monthly members join!
If you are still thinking about joining TBAG, I am still willing to accept monthly members for the next few days.
Simply send £13.50 to tbagpay@hotmail.com and I will be in touch.
Cheers
hi Darren,
sent you my first paypal payment 27th Feb thought I give the pay monthly ago this year
many thanks
kevin
Just to add on my stay men about international, I think it muddies the waters if the 99 price is extended to uk residents. This way there are two set prices with clear distinction. I actually attend 2 or 3 of the days but also have a full time day job with extensive international travel. I just take holidays.. This is IMO thanks rob

Everyone's situation is different. I am contracted to only have holiday in the school holidays, therefore this is not an option unless I quit my job. If there was no discounted dvd only membership for anyone then fine, but if it's being offered to some but not others.... :|
Yes Kev thanks - i have your monthly subscription

We have not agreed the international membership yet for £99 but it does look likely. I am conscious of the fact that some from the UK are unable to attend and would like to make it attractive to all but if I offered 4 DVD's for those in the UK and they had to pay the full fee. I have 9 bag DVD's from previous years so have some spare or I could offer one of my DVD's
to those in the UK who did not attend any days but it does start to muddy the water. But as always open to suggestions to work it out fairly for all.
So the topic of International members and UK members who are unable to attend the days has not been resolved or even worked out.
The problem I have is that the balloon artistes guild for whatever reason(s) does not have enough members. That is it in a nut shell, last year I spent a substantial amount of money subsidising the club, unfortunately I can not keep doing this. The first year I think we were up in the 60 odd members, last year I think 46 but please remember that a few of these are unpaid members who get club membership for lecturing, editing DVD, artwork etc. The club either has to pay for itself or we have to call it a day. Simple as that. I would be very sad for it to go, after seeing the fantastic way that Guido and Wally run the Dutch twister club for the same fee but they only have four meetings a year.
I was having a chat on the phone with someone today and they came up with a good suggestion for UK membership if they do not attend any of the days and that is the reduced membership, the same as bongoballoons came up with earlier on this thread, so perhaps we could have international and UK non attending the days membership for £95 and you get the three star lecture days sent out on DVD.
I agree it would be great to have all on full members but we have to look at ways of getting a few more members, we need approx. 55/60 to run all 10 days the way the club has been but we could maybe cut the number of days down?
At the moment I have 13 people joining for next year with quite a few saying they will re-join at Leeds, as always all suggestions are most welcome as we do need to keep the club moving forward.
Holland has two twister groups with nearly 200 members between them, I'm unsure why in the UK we struggle with membership? Maybe it's me, perhaps I have upset too many people as there was a comment about the up coming two day event in Leeds with my style mentioned on facebook this week that said, "With Graham's unique style and certain something" maybe my style is a little too aggressive for those that do not know me very well?
Full members, just as they are now.
Associate members - international and non-event attending, they could also get a discount if they chose to attend a Care & Share / Star Lecture.
I don't know how well this would work and it wouldn't guarantee income but an option to make donations at the events.
Hi
Just a question. If we need 60 members at 125 that means graham you need about 7000. Is there any other way we can raise the money. I am thinking through sponsorship or other advertising. With the Dutch scheme they have many members but is it the same fantastic set up that you pulled together? Free sessions, star lectures etc I just wonder if there is a way to raise additional revenue to subsidise membership. 13 seems low as well from the number we had last year?
I'm going to struggle to get to most of the days as I have to book time off my full time job, plus there's only one (Bishops Stortford) that is anywhere near me. I'm still happy to pay the full membership though as I feel it's important to support resources like these. Don't forget that you can class membership and the cost to get to the days as training, so it's all tax deductable.
That reminds me - must go and pay my next instalment! :)
Liz
I have replied to Rob about money and figures etc. I don't think I should put all the club's finances onto an open forum. I will sit down and jot a few rough figures out, if any club member would like to see them, if you email me and I will send it over. You may not get it till I get back from Leeds though. I have had a suggestion for a donate button on the forum that I think has been suggested a few times and also I have chatted with my web guy about having a couple of Google advert banners on the site to help with finances, all things worth thinking about and mulling over.

Perhaps implement the idea I had about a membership option where you get like a premium tutorial each month perhaps try work with partners in industry and bring discounts to paid up members. It will all help with financing this forum.
its also really easy to set up and manage on these forum boards like ipboard / vbulleting.

Many thanks for the input, it is always appreciated. I feel that we should not have to offer any more incentives to tempt people to join the guild otherwise we will end up paying them to attend. Ten "Care & Share" days with lectures at all of the days and three international star lectures and three DVD's all for only £125, I still think it must be the bargain of the century,
well bargain of the year at least.
May I ask wheee are the days held and whats done at the days and perhaps whats on the dvds.
trouble is I dnt think it will be viable for me to travel to the days as id assume most are a fair distance from me.
Its a very good price for educating yourself in the balloon world. Professional development courses in any other industry are way higher.
For me the benefit to these days is not limited to learning new models & techniques. Its the friends new, and old, recounting tales of twisting in the real world and swapping stories, ideas, experiences. Plus seeing how other people arrange their balloon bags, and so on.
You can't get these from a DVD.
And has been said before - its all tax deductable!
I'm looking forward to Leeds - must go and pack now! :D

The days get held all over the UK, Sutton, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Bishops Stortford and Manchester, they started off as an informal get together that I started nine years ago, we are just starting the tenth year of them now and we have lectures from balloon artistes in the UK, decorators and international balloon artistes from all over the world. So much is taught and shown,
a good place to start is to have a looks at the events section as everyday that I have run since 2008 when we started the forum has been documented with pictures from all of the days. But as Danny said you get soooooo much more from attending the days. Not sure about others but I need my balloon fix every now and again.
This is the link to the events section, events-balloon-magic-etc.html (http://balloonchat.co.uk/events-balloon-magic-etc.html)
Hope that helps?
I am part way through a review of a TBAG DVD... see here... all good stuff!

I am joining with Auntie Julie again tomorrow so that is 2 more.

Just checking Kevin the up to date on the monthly payments with Darren as he sorts these for me.
So we need to sort out the payment system, how about £125 single membership, £225 joint and £95 international and UK who do not attend any days.
If paying Paypal/credit then £130, £230, £99. Suggestions always welcome. The prices are to attend all 10 "Care & Share" days with three STAR
lecture days that are recorded for club members who get the DVD. Also I will start selling the DVD in years at £99 for three. If OK with everyone?????
The other thing I was wondering was to limit the club to 50 members, that is what we need to break even. People can still come but have to pay the day rate. It might get people joining quicker to know that they may miss out. Also the prices are as above only for April then we increase to £150/£250/£110, trying to get people to commit sooner.
Any suggestions, is this good or bad?????
I think rather than limit numbers, you could see what the international/UK non-attendees uptake will be. I think the new price structure will hopefully encourage people to join this club where even with only the DVD's you get SO much information and professional training in balloon modelling.
The best is to come to the days, even paying the full club membership and going to one two day event will save you money!
Last year when I was very busy with a theatre show I really appreciated receiving the DVDs from the Care & Share Days that I couldn't go to. However having just been to the Leeds double day, there is SO much more to gain.
I shall be re-joining soon. :D
A disappointing number of members. I am happy with the schemes and prices you suggest - the more money you can collect the better.
So with the updated members we have 15 members, so if we do the 50 members we only need another 35 :)

Danny has joined again, number 20, only 30 to go. I will do a mass email tomorrow.
Over the years when getting the DVD's printed I always got a few extra copies made up in case more members joined during the year.
I do have a few full sets and thought it might be OK to sell these at the £95 rate as we are now having a DVD only membership.
If no one objects I have from,
Year One, 3 sets available. DVD one, David Brenion. DVD two, Dennis Hogers. DVD three, Ken Stillman.
Year Two, 5 sets available. DVD four, Shirley Ray/Colin Myles. DVD five, Patrick van de Ven. DVD six, Ed Chee
If anyone is unsure of the content then please ask any club member, all the days have been exceptional and we will not be getting any more copies made.
To make things clear I do have a few more copies from individual lectures and will go and have a count up as I'm not 100% comfortable about the selling of the BAG DVD's.
Anyone that does buy a set does so on the understanding that you are not allowed to re-sell them.
Just had a count up so that everyone knows where we are at,

Vol Two, 3 copies
Vol Three, 17 copies

I was thinking about buying a radio mic headset for the star lecture days to help with audio, I have seen the Samson Airline. Something like this one although I think the older style where it loops over both ears might sit better. I used one like that in Holland and found it OK. http://www.samsontech.com/samson/produc ... croearset/ (http://www.samsontech.com/samson/products/wireless-systems/airline-micro/airlinemicroearset/)

I will definitely be rejoining, just trying to pay off a holiday and then you will have my money!
I'm on the look out for a star lecturer for next March time for Leeds, a suggestion was Alberto Nava from hairband fame.
Does anyone want to suggest anyone else to consider before I look to book.
Blimey we have had so many new members today I'm having trouble keeping up with it all. Claire Vickers is a new member and Olivia Post has re-joined.
I need to have a count up but reckon we must be up to or even over 30 members now.
I'm looking forward to seeing the viewing figures for the forum today, there has been quite a lot of activity today.
David Crofts has re-joined BAG, the viewing figures for the forum were up by about 40% yesterday.
We are up to 33 members now, 17 to go :D The first group are on the monthly scheme, the second group have paid in full and the third group are DVD only members.

Just a reminder that for the Birmingham days in July there is a £5 per day surcharge to attend for club members as we are offering a buffet lunch.
WOW, WOW and another WOW. We have two more members join, Marie Palmer and Mari Forret. That makes 40 members which is more than we had for the whole of last year :D
It does take the worry off about making ends meet for the club, so that is nice.
Me again :) :D Yes another member re-joining, Emma is back.
I'm a little concerned with this new deadline we have for payments on the early bird special for BAG members, I need to be fair to everyone so if payment is not received by the end of the month or a Paypal payment does not go in for April then unfortunately the higher fee will be due. We have been advertising this years membership since February, hope people understand.
We have never had so many join so quickly :) Rhian Beynon has just re-joined
We seem to be having a theme here, Julie Hayward has joined again :)

We may still get a few more join tomorrow, please pass on details on facebook pages if you can...........Thanks.

We have had a late sign up, so welcome to the club Deborah Horrocks.
The new mic came while I was away, I bought it from ebuyer and it was not even wrapped and there was no sellotape so anyone could have opened it.
I was shocked, called them and yes this is how they send the items out :o :( I was thinking about sending it back as we may end up with dodgy connections with all the throwing about.
I tried the new mic this morning and could not get it working, you would not believe what I had to do.................YES I had to read the instructions.
Whoever heard of a man doing that? Mind you it did get it working so hopefully at the Birmingham days Sue and Thelma will be mic'd up and it will be better for all.
Lord G has edited the David Crofts DVD, off to pick it up this week. It is a long one, over 4 hours and a difficult one to edit as David was all over the place. But very funny!
Please note this is BAG DVD 9 and is for BAG members from last year, the last DVD from year 2013/14.
I went to pick up the master copy of the David Crofts lecture day from Lord G tonight, it is over 4 hours long so I have to sit and watch it to make sure all is OK and then send it off to be copied for everyone. Hoping to have this out in a couple of weeks.
Can everyone who has yet to pay their TBAG subscriptions for MAY please do so - I will be going through the accounts this weekend and will be sending reminders to those who have forgotten - thank you
Graham, The joint membership I paid for is for me Phil Walker (55) and Zoe Walker (56)
Thanks Phil,
I had to send the mic back, not sure if it got damaged in transit as there was no packaging and when I tried this at Thelma's last week the feedback was horrendous. Off to look for another one now. I'm still looking through the master copy for DVD 9, about 90 mins in and all is OK so far.
I'm now taking details for those wanting lunch at the Birmingham two day event with Sue and Thelma on the 1st and 2nd July, the buffet lunch is £5 per day and I'm happy for you to pay on day but if you do go on the list and then last minute have to cancel then the £5 is still payable I'm afraid.
The food order will go in on Monday 30th June.
Hi Graham can you put me down for lunch for both days
many thanks
kevin
Put me down for Lunch too Graham :D both days please

I have looked at all of David's DVD now, it is a long one, over 4 hours with some very funny moments that may mean more to those that attended the day.
Sending it off to get copied now, hopefully will be out to members middle of the month.
We have another new BAG member :D Welcome to Dave Whiteman.
Just keeping everyone up to date, the master DVD and artwork have now all been sent off to the duplication centre.
The artwork,
TBAG MONTHLY - MAY PAYMENTS
Can the following people please make their payments for £13.50 to tbagpay@hotmail.com as soon as possible as they are overdue? Thanks
Louise Maclachlan
I have booked all the BAG days for the rest of the year,
July 1st, Birmingham, Sue Bowler
July 2nd, Birmingham, Thelma Levett (Star Lecture Day)
Sept 30th Manchester, Daz Cooper
Oct 21st, Sutton, Surry, Petra Meijboom/Brenda Rosendahl
Oct 22nd, Sutton, Surrey, Petra Meijboom/Brenda Rosedahl (Star Lecture Day)
Nov 26th, Birmingham, Dan Catt
That leaves three days for 2015 with Jan in Bishops Stortford and a two day event for Leeds in March.
David Crofts BAG DVD 9 is meant to be delivered tomorrow, we hope to ship this out over the weekend.
They have arrived :D
Lyn is writing the envelopes as we speak, well type actually :)
As they say............."The DVD's have left the building"
We had quite a few people move and did not tell us so we had to send out replacements DVD's, this is not a problem but does add to the pennies being spent,
so this year if we are not informed of you moving and the new address there will be a £5 surcharge to cover the cost of DVD and postage.
We have a new BAG member, Dawn Dreppard :)
What's the start time tomorrow.
We have two more members now, David Macker and Lucy Hennessy :) :)
I believe that is now 60 members :D
I will be reconciling the accounts for the monthly tbag members this week so if you owe any payments please try to make them in the next few days to save me having to chase you.

Just off down to see Lord G and to take the card reader from the Birmingham event and the DVD that Thelma recorded the Elsa onto.
The wireless mic came today so all lectures will now be mic'd up so it will be easier to hear if attending and hopefully better on the DVD as well.
We used a mic system that I borrowed from Dan at the Birmingham days, the comments were very positive.
Nice mic that good quality :-)
TBAG Monthly Payment Scheme
Dear Members, I have spent the last few hours reconciling the TBAG paypal account and have had to double check the last two years just to make sure I am 100% accurate.
Please find below the list of outstanding payments - obviously we are not yet at the end of July so you still have a few more days but some payments from June and further back are still owing.
I am now going to have to do a full review every fortnight which is a pain just to make sure people pay on time.
Please can you bring your accounts up to date as soon as possible?

Just to keep everyone up to date, Lord G has started to edit the memory card from the memorial lecture, Thelma re-recorded her Elsa and put it onto a DVD for Lord G but for some reason there are no files on the DVD so Geoff is unable to edit and transfer this over onto the master copy. Thelma has to film Elsa again and send the memory card so Geoff can edit this onto the master copy. The plan was for me to have the master copy by the end of Aug so I think we should still be on track for that and then the DVD will be sent out mid Sept.
Lord G now has the new memory card from Thelma and has edited the DVD up to that point so we are still on track for early/mid September for the BAG 10 DVD.
The first one for 2014/15

TBAG MONTHLY PAYMENT UPDATE
The members below are late with their payments. Anyone who has not paid their arrears will not be sent the first DVD of the current membership. I really have a lot on my plate right now and could do without having to chase late payers. I do appreciate that people forget and may be a few days or a week late and I can work with that but we are now in the middle of August.
Please make every effort to pay this weekend....

Thank you to everyone else for making my life a little easier
I went and picked up the master copy for the next BAD DVD from Lord G last night, I was meant to go last week but I forgot :o oops!
Will have a look through to make sure all is OK'ish and then get this copied for club members.
The last time I spoke with Darren who runs the pay monthly scheme a few people were behind with payments,
please try and keep up to date as this does help Darren and the scheme is to help out those who are unable to pay the full fee all at once, Thanks.
Just watched session one and there is a good laugh on there where Thelma introduces her easy Kingfisher, at the day I think the roll through popped twice, it was funny and sometimes
these things happen but on the DVD it has all been edited out. So three more sessions to view, while watching I was making three easy cars so will post those later as well.
Just watched session two, Thelma mentions I keep moving here over to the filming spot, I taped a cross on the floor for where was a good place to stand.
So she mentions I'm reminding her where to stand while moving to that very spot. Then Thelma goes to get a 160 to inflate for the dogs tail and attaches it and this is all off camera,
made me smile and I'm sure everyone will be OK with adding the tail. There is a picture that comes up after every model is made to show artwork and balloon positioning so hopefully
all will be OK. Two more sessions to watch later, then it's off to the duplication centre on Monday.
I will be reconciling the TBAG monthly payment accounts just before the DVDs are posted so if you are not up to date the DVD will not be sent out.
Cheers
I watched session three last night and just finished session four now, Thelma re-recorded the Elsa at home and it is excellent and my favourite is the Cockatoo.
One for the real world, Thelma shares so many excellent tips I would recommend anyone to join the club to get the first DVD for this year, we do a DVD only membership as well.
More details, http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/uk-twister-club/ (http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/uk-twister-club/)
The DVD is a little more squeaky than normal as we used a microphone for the first time to help those attending the days.
The master copy is off to the duplication centre today, a little behind time. I looked at the DVD and the extra Elsa Thelma recorded at home everyone will be well pleased with.
All is explained in excellent detail, it's not too late to still join, we do DVD only membership and full turn up at up to 10 balloon events every year
although this year there will be 11 as I was unable to count and booked too much, REALLY I DID!!!
plus you get the three DVD's from the star lecture days that we record.
TBAG Monthly Payments
Thanks to those people who have paid upto the end of August. Please see a list of outstanding payments (including those due for September - technically not overdue but just a reminder and thanks for keeping your membership up to date).

Please note that Roger D and Julie F have paid up for their full years and no further payments are due.
I have just contacted a few people via email and facebook to see if they wish to stay as members, this is a little difficult as we only set up the monthly pay scheme to help out with spreading the cost for people. Some are wishing to leave but are asking for the first DVD to be sent as they have paid a few months. I suppose it's all a learning curve but if people want to leave this is not a problem but I feel that the DVD's are only sent out to full yearly members as if you have only paid a couple of months you then attended the days at a discounted price to the advertised non club member price. It does all get a little difficult and I think Darren and I will have to think hard about offering the yearly scheme again, we are a very small club and the cost to attend each day is very minimal, where can you go for top class balloon training for a full day for between £15/16.50 and also get DVD's from some of the days.
Suggestions are welcome as to how we work this out, thanks.
Graham, if you are behind on your payments (i don't mean the odd month but WAY behind) then you forfeit your membership, no refund is given, and you do not receive any DVDs. It is unfair on those people who pay the membership fees all in one go.
Therefore if the following members do not bring their accounts up to date within the next few days then they are simply cancelled.

Lisa Oakley

The monthly scheme was setup as a way to make the club more affordable - it should not be a scheme for people to take advantage.
To keep everyone up to date William has decided to leave the club, I think that is a shame really and the wrong decision.
If people are unable to attend any days we do offer the DVD only membership but to actually attend the days is so much more with everyone being
so helpful and honest and passing on some great marketing tips.
I joined for the first time in July. I never had the chance to attend in the past due to work but since attending the Birmingham, David Grist Lecture my ballooning has improved in leaps and bounds. Its all the little tricks and styles you pick up at the Care & Share days that you don't get on DVD or books.
I feel that with the lessons learnt at the Birmingham days, my money has already been well spent!
Long may it reign.
ps - see you all in Manchester
The artwork is at the duplication centre, hopefully we will get these back on Friday and shipped out next week.
These have not been resized,
Natasha has also decided to leave the club, I will get an up to date list added shortly and hopefully send out the latest DVD Monday morning next week to all paid up members.
I did not realise the monthly scheme would be so difficult :(

Yes I think the DVD's arrived Friday, I have been away all week attending the magic convention in Bournemouth. We also got a few of DVD 9 David Crofts from the Leeds event in March as we were short. Those waiting will get two DVD's sent. We will post these out on Wed when we get back from the Manchester day, this way we can give a few DVD's out in person and save a few pennies on the postage.

The monthly scheme has been a bit of a headache, we have members only paying for one or two months then attending two day events and leaving.
You try to help out..............................still never mind
I also got DVD's made for all members so have some spare now, so decision time.
I think the pay monthly as we know it now will have to go, the club year starts from 1st April and anyone wishing to spread the cost next year can pay 3 monthly instalments
Jan, Feb and March and then will be paid up from the club year. Perhaps a few could ask for club membership as a Christmas or Birthday present.
Am I that well known that I only need my first name
Updating the above list a little, we forgot to add on Joyce Sugden and Barbara Roll, then Tanya Corsie and Tanya Lake are the same person, oops!
Yes Dan 007 just your first name.
The DVD from The David Grist Memorial lecture with Thelma Levett running the workshop is already to be posted out tomorrow. If anyone would like to join we have full membership where you can attend all care & share days till the end of March 2015 and receive three star lecture DVD's from the days that we record or you can just be a DVD member if you are unable to attend the days, more details, http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/uk-twister-club/ (http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/uk-twister-club/)
I was just looking at that list wondering if I was there twice or if there was a Tanya Corsie :)
So now I have three surnames YAY
They have been posted out today,
OOOoooohhhhh like a kid during Christmas week......Cant wait....

Look what the postman bought this morning :) Looking forward to watching it :)
I just got my DVD yesterday. Great stuff!!! Thanks, Graham. And thanks, Thelma!!!
I left someone off the members list, it was my fault. Elizabeth Jacob joined back in May, oops sorry about that.
Thanks Graham, much appreciated! Kind regards, Liz
TBAG MONTHLY PAYMENTS - UPDATES TO ALL MEMBERS...
Elizabeth B - 9 out of 10 payments made - last one was due in November - now overdue
Pam P - 9 out of 10 payments made - last payment due Jan 2015
Russell W - 7 out of 10 payments made - November overdue - last payments in Dec and Jan 2015
Claire V - 7 out of 10 payments made - November overdue - last payments in Dec and Jan 2015
Louise M - 6 out of 10 payments made - October & November overdue - last payments in Dec and Jan 2015
If you are slightly behind on your payments please can you update your accounts asap.
Thanks
Many thanks to Darren for sorting out the monthly payment scheme, I think we can both say it has not run as smoothly as we both had hoped.
So much so that the 10 monthly payments will not be offered next year, this is due to payments being a little behind and also some people attending
days and then leaving the club with out paying.
So for next year which starts from 1st April we are offering a 3 month scheme, Jan, Feb and March. Then when the club starts in April everyone will be a fully paid up member.
Thanks to all club members, we do appreciate your support and yes Darren and I do know we can have a paypal account that automatically takes the monthly payment but you
have to have a business account for this and as Darren sorts this for me we are unable to have this working.
So for next year the early bird special will be £125 paid before 1st march with cash or £129 paypal/credit card or with 3 monthly payments of £43.
From 1st April the fee will be £150 or £155 paypal/credit card.
This makes the days just £12.50 to attend and with 3 DVD's, I like to think that is fantastic value for money and hopefully everyone else does and members re-join.
Hi Darren, I couldnt see myself on the list, I think I owe you one last payment, can you let me know please :)
Graham, all that sounds good to me, I will go for the 3 monthly scheme I think.
Hi Rob,
My records show you as fully paid up - and I also double checked your payments! :-)
Oh cool.Thanks Darren, your a star :-D
Darren I think if Rob says he owes one month payment we should just take it from him and say thank you ;) :D
Off to pick up the master copy for the macaroni girls DVD from Lord G tomorrow,
hoping to get this sent off this week to the duplication centre and possibly posted out before I go off to Twist and Shout.
I have the master copy from the macaroni girls, will try and view before going to twist and shout so that we can get it sent out at the end of the month.
Off to look at session two from the macaroni girls, looked at session one earlier. Hoping to send this off later in the week to the duplication centre.
Watched the DVD all the way through, all OK so going to send it off for duplicating for club members.

So Graham - are you going to rejoin?! ;)
Quote from: "Danny the Idiot"So Graham - are you going to rejoin?! ;)
I'm not sure to be honest, is BAG value for money and what exactly does Graham do?
Seems like the days run themselves yet we have to give him all this money and he only does 10 days.........
with only three being filmed, why not film them all and get 10 star lectures a year.
Then at the days he wanders around handing out the odd balloon from the qualatex bags and only has to remember to bring a mic for the PA and then goes and forgets that.
I might be persuaded to re-join but will have to think about it.
To keep everyone updated, Lord G now has the memory card from the Pieter van Engen workshop in Leeds and is editing it for the club.
I have sent an email out to all BAG members, could you please take a look and then send me a reply..............Thanks.
Pleased to say we have another new member just joining so welcome to Andy and also someone has booked for both the Sutton days...............
That is nice :D
Two more people have joined the club, Sofhia and Colin :D
I went and picked up the master copy from the Pieter van Engen day back in March, apologies it's a little late, well very late really.
Have to find the time to sit and watch it to make sure all is OK and then I will send it off to be copied for everyone.
Apologies to last years club members who are still waiting for the Pieter van Engen DVD that was recorded in March.
I have had the master copy now for 2 weeks but have just not had the time to look at it and check it out, what with the Pip two day event, the basic day in Birmingham this week and getting ready for Daniel tomorrow. What with all that and balloon orders and the occasional magic show and then the big balloon build I have just completed with David Crofts again. To say it's been all go I think would be an understatement.
I promise I will get it sorted as soon as I can.
I sat down last night and started to watch the Pieter van Engen master copy, yes I know at last but it has been pretty busy just lately.
I sat and watched the rest of the master copy, all seems OK so will be sending this off tomorrow so we can get the club members up to date with the DVD's for last year 2014/15.
The master copy and artwork has all been sent off so we should be getting the DVD's of Pieter sent out pretty soon.
The Pieter van Engen DVD will be with me tomorrow so we should be able to post out for next week. This has been the longest wait so will try to get the Pip DVD out sooner.
The DVD's arrived today, we will ship these out to BAG members. This is the last DVD for the year 2014/15.
If you joined for this year 2015/16 then your first DVD will be pip pippity pop from New Zealand that was filmed in June.
All the DVD's were sent out yesterday, fingers crossed no one has moved and forgotten to tell us.
Got mine thanks graham

What is the membership period, and does this affect the DVD membership? Sadly work commitments mean I can't get to the C&S days.
I was wondering if people could tell me (and I'm sure you've seen my posts!) if aTBAG DVD membership would benefit me or would I just find it difficult to follow the lectures?
Many thanks

All the designs shown are explained and you could stop/start a few times and sometimes it's good to push yourself a little more than you think.
Things will start to click in place.
Its worth joining especially if you can't get to the days as the DVDs will teach you some great balloon sculptures from really great balloon artists that they use in their work. Not only that, there are great twisting techniques and tips that you gain too.
Most of the days have a mix of easier things to make and then a few bigger more complex things. However as everything is on DVD you can, as Graham has said, stop and start the DVD, pause it when you need to catch up or you've not quite got something first time.
I hope this helps. :D
Thanks both.
Lord G has just been up and left me the master copy for the Pip Pippity Pop lecture, so this one will be out a lot quicker than the Pieter van Engen DVD
I'm half way through watching the master copy, all OK so far.
Just finished watching the master copy from the Pip day, all was OK so I can now send this off to the duplication centre.
Just need to sort the artwork out now, thanks to Lord G for again doing the editing etc for the club, appreciated.

I wonder if there is a date for the next care and share day? What would entry price be for a non member?
I have been advertising the next days for a few weeks now, Darlington 23rd Nov and Edinburgh 25th Nov. Both days are free to attend.
We then will have a day at Bishops Stortford in Jan 2016 and then a two day event in Birmingham with a star lecturer sometime in March.

I have just posted details for the star lecture days for March, we have Simon Jong and Rob Driscoll lecturing.
I have also added a special offer to join the club for 15 months, you would get the January Bishops Stortford day for free and also the Rob Driscoll day.
So a bit of a bargain to try and tempt a few to join. http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/ballo ... hare-days/ (http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/balloons/care-share-days/)
"Be My Guest" Not sure how to phrase this correctly but I'm offering a, be my guest ticket for every care & share balloon day that we run this year for 2016.
If anyone would like to be considered then please send me a PM. Would you like to nominate someone who perhaps would benefit from the day.
For what ever reason they are unable to attend, would this help and possible be that little push for them to attend and improve their balloon modelling skills?
If so then please send me a PM for them to be considered.
I picked up the master copy from the Victor and Michael workshop back in November, club members decided it was Ok to get the DVD at the next Star lecture day.
So saving a few pennies on envelopes and postage over the year.
Will go through it tonight to make sure all is OK and then send it off to the duplication centre.
DVD 14 is now in and we will hand them out at Birmingham 8./9th March.
If you are not attending the Simon Jong/Rob Driscoll event we will ship out the DVD's when we get back.
We have just posted out the DVD from the Victor and Michael days back in October to those who did not attend the birmingham event last week.
This is from 2015/16 membership.
The Simon DVD will be ready for the next two day event in July.
This is again only fo 2015/16 members, the 2016/17 year starts from 1st April.
I have the master copy from the march lecture with Simon Jong, viewed session one.
There are some nice designs on the DVD, three more sessions to view and then it's
off to the duplication service to get all the copies. It will be ready for July at the memorial lecture.
Just finished looking through the Simon Jong master copy, all is OK so sending it off to the duplication centre tomorrow.
Rob is doing the artwork for us :) Thanks.
The DVD's from Simons lecture workshop have arrived, we will be giving these out at Birmingham
on the 5/6th July an then posting them out to others after.
We will be posting out the Simon Jong DVD's today for those that did not attend the Birmingham event last week.
I have the Sabina workshop master copy here, just about to start watching it to make sure all is OK
and then I will send it off to the duplication centre.
