I posted a rather rushed stitch balloon in the gallery.  I had to do it really quick so admittedly its not a great work of art.  But I had a problem to do the mouth because the only pink permanent pen I have is a dark pink.  I wanted a light pink for the tongue.  I had a think about it and it occured to me that I have a huge range of  colours in my water colour pencils. But watercolour pencils don't do very well on balloons.  But what it I coated the balloon with a white Edding pen? The water colour might work on the layer of edding.  One way to try.  It really did work.  That's great.  Now I can use all the colours I have in my water colour pencils.  Yippeee!!!!

Wow Thelma, I have those pencils as well - never thought of using them on balloons.  Great idea, thank you for posting it!
