Cheers guys for the input.

Roger I totally see where you are coming from and would not take offence at anything you said as I think I know you well enough to get what you actually mean and not misinterpret it iyswim?  At present my working gear is black combats and a loud / colourful T-shirt sometimes with a black velvet waistcoat.  I am trying to develop a working outfit that I can become known for but am struggling with what that could be.  I certainly do not feel comfortable in dress up outfits and in any event most made for women are indecent for working with children in as they all seem to have the word Sexy in the title   .

I have been looking for ages for any items of clothing that I would feel comfortable working in and that are actually practical for the job too and this I am finding impossible.

I have seen a pair of red tartan chefs trousers on eBay which I like the look of and would happily wear but they are made to order and take 14 days which means they would not arrive until after Christmas probably and certainly after these jobs are done and dusted.  I am also looking at getting some polo shirts but can't find anywhere to buy them without getting them embroidered.  I also have no objections to wearing a stupid hat either but do you think I can find one? Nope unless of course I want a birthday cake hat or a cheap nasty Santa hat.

If anyone is looking for a waistcoat, I can HIGHLY recomend a lady called Janet ( http://www.janetsteward.co.uk ) Her prices are good, she'll send you some samples of different types of material. I have been using Janet for many different items for many years.

If you use her, tell her Billy Wiz says hi.
