I am now getting quite a few balloon jobs in and cringe whenever anyone asks me for a rabbit or a dog as I am still making the bog standard ones.  I have tons of DVD's but all the dogs and rabbit's are either not what I want or not suitable for me to do on a busy job.

As the event I am doing Saturday morning is expecting 75 kids and I have to leave dead on 12 to make my 1pm party any where near on time I could really do with a simple but effective model to replace my cringworthy attempts with.  If anyone could help I would be most appreciative.  :D

Hi, i think Thelmas 1st CD has a two balloon dog design on it (Well 1 Balloon and some scraps) Consisting of a single colour body, with a nose and ears from different colours, mixing colour combinations, and drawing different patches removes some of the boredom of repetitive Poodles, not saying its the ideal solution though.

I think there are some pics from people on here who have made her model, will try and find some, else with Thelmas permission i will try and upload the image she uses from her cover on to here. That way you can see the model, and decide if purchasing Thelmas CD is right for you to learn. (If you pay for the emailed copy you could have it before tomorrow morning)

I'll be back on later this evening, and will PM Thelma to see if she can upload the pic, or whether she is ok with me doing it then.

I have just had a quick look for the pics of Thelmas dog but cant see it, however i found a post on dogs with a similar design (if not cuter) by Petra

About 2 thirds of the way down in black and white.

That one is the kind I am looking for.  Hadn't realised it was on Thelma's CD as I do have it but not had time to look at it yet

To say I am a little rushed off my feet at present is an understatement - I have MOT pics to do for FACE, the magazine to rush out, a daughter who threw up in her bed last night and 3 jobs at the weekend to prepare for including 2 on the Saturday which are 50mins apart but only an hour between the end of one and the start of the other and it also means I will have to drive into London on my own for the very first time and being a nervous driver is an understatement    Sorry I do feel better for unloading  ;)

If you have Thelmas CD 2 And a Bit its the model she refers to as ANOTHER DOG, the principal is very similar to the one by Petra (2 Balloon, Different ears to body), although i kind've like the cuteness factor of Petra's. I've also just noticed the tongue!

I spent a really enjoyable day with Thelma on Wednesday and did we laugh, I should say so. We had great time  Thelma also did a lovely lunch for me and we did a bit of twisting. This is the dog I came up with, not a very good picture. I think Thelma took one so hopefully she will post a better picture :D

Here's the dog that in on my cd but you can probably work it out from the photo.Dog-on-a-lead.jpg[/attachment:3ozfyadx]

Here it is with out the lead for when you are in a real hurry!dog-one-balloon.jpg[/attachment:3ozfyadx]

The rabbit that I make as a quickie is just one balloon and a scrap of 160 for the carrot. It is a very similar construction to Daniels instructions //http://www.balloonchat.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1298 but the body has just one bubble instead of 3 and the lback legs are loop twists.
Give the balloon a really good stretch after inflating it or you won't have enough left for loop twists for the back legs. Bunny-and-carrot.jpg[/attachment:3ozfyadx]

If you have a little more time, add the bunny to a heart on a stick for a real Ah!factor!

Just took a first try at the white dog3.  It seems to work well... just need to get the tail shorter like yours!.
