I've been asked to decorate a room for a family member, and as i'm starting to slowly get into decor, i thought i'd give it a bash!
Let me know what you think, I know one of the purple balloons at the bottom is going down, but these were just for fun!

I have used cheaper balloon's too (NOT Qualitex or the other brand  ;)  )

Excellent.  I do like the yellow and white one best though.  It seems more balanced somehow.

Yes yellow and white for me as well, can the spiral be closer together so the tube is not showing?
I would also put some 3" balloons underneath the 5" at the top as well, but I don't decorate :D  :D

haha yeah i'm sure the 260's can be closer together, The yellow ones are for the actual party, the pink and purple were just to mess about with.
So i'm going to the venue today to decorate a little room! fingers crossed it all goes well.

Yes, I made them all the other day, 1" MDF base, then used wardrobe poles and fixings to make the poles, they screw on and off too! BUT think i'm going to get my friend to weld me some up!

Yeah I'm going to ikea for some of these uplighters, as these cost more than that to make!

It all went well...... except I tried some dash polish and some of the balloons started to deflate! I wasnt happy! I did try it on 2 balloons before with no problem!

Replaced 2 balloons and all was well!

Went back to the venue tonight to finnish off with some close up magic, and got my stands back.

Thanks for all your comments!

Did not realise they where table top... you can buy lomey poles and dishes of vaious sizes for table tops or we (royal we Paul made them not me!!) have a MDF base and have glued plastic electrical conduit to them great for things with no weight required.

To keep the shine we use dashboard spray - works well for us just have to watch the perfume sometimes they can be a bit overpowering

Hi pam,
Thats what I used as I had some MDF in the shed I used wardrobe brackets to fix the poles to the MDT, that way they screw on and off the bases for easy transport  :D  Not sure how long they will last tho, as the brackets dont seem upto much!

Not sure what lomey poles are.

I tried dash board spray, but the balloons didnt like it, they started to deflate! What brand is the best?

Thanks
Jordan

I love them.

I was wondering what to take to a business event where I can have a free stand and something similar to this will be ideal I reckon to display.  Not too large, easy to get set up etc.

Lomey poles and bases are so versitile and clear plastic so you dont have to hide the whole pole - we quite aften just have a piece of curled wired ribbon or s single 260 or 160 open curled around them from the balloons at the top to the base.

we have also bought alsorts of cockpit spray - even at asda at £2/3 for a big can. they have all worked for us.

you can also use balloon shine but youhave to rub it on the balloon with the glove and it can be messy

Yeah think i'll leave the balloon shine alone!

To be honnest it could have been these cheaper balloons I used! Must get qualitex next!

Yeah I was going to wrap a 260 arround the pose, BUT with the display white and yellow, the pole's are white, so I didnt bother!
