Hi all, a question here about having balloons outside in direct sunlight for a day or two.
I have tried this twice now and they do not last at all and I wondered does it help if you spray them with balloon shine or the car polish stuff or any other tips you may have to make sure they do not go pop in the mid day sun.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Alison.

I assume you mean twisted sculptures rather than decor?

The sun is an issue, but sometimes wind and general weather also batter the poor sculptures a lot as well.

Armoral can make a big difference, but can be messey to apply.

I would suggest not using jeweltones that can go dusty, but stick with standard colours, and especially neons and metallics which are harder, and put up with the sun more.

double stuffing always helps too, but the best option is to make them inside a Qualatex Bubble, (not that easy) or othewise seal them inside clear plastic bags.  this will prevent almost all the weather getting to them, and is easier to carry them around without accidentally bursting them on trees, cacti and sabretooth tigers...
