Looking at prices for air inflators just costing things up to see if it would be a good idea to go into decor and spend money on a course, balloons and everything else i would need to set it up and found this looks like fun.

Dave, If you need anything from the qualatex catalogue I can get you a price. They do a mini cool aire but it does not look the same as the one you're looking at.

I have the older Coolaire and it is good but you can generally pick them up a lot cheaper on eBay than this place is selling them.  In actual fact Qualatex sell pretty much the same thing for £110 plus VAT and it is a much better thought out version than mine as mine has nowhere to put your spare nozzels and doesn't have the bit to wind the cable round.  It is a good work horse but the big downside (hence the price) is that it does not automatically size your balloons for you which is a HUGE time saver.

My advice would be to see if you can afford something like the duplicator 2 (£449.53 plus VAT) and find out how much nitrogen is round you.  I have been told it is really cheap but since I can't lift half of the canisters I have yet to look into it properly.  It's either that or Zibi do timed inflators and the Precision Air will do it for you but at around £1000 that's a huge investment.

www.balloons.co.uk is a retail site rather than wholesale but I am sure if you wish to purchase Dave will sell to you!

you should be able to buy the same product at qualatex direct or upupandaway or even go international at a wholesale price for the same product

if you are not looking into starting just yet Dave - why not look at going to the nabas show - I know graham has promoted the competitions but there is also an exhibition on the sunday as well as seminars, maybe some deals to be had!! who knows - check out the website www.nabas.co.uk and show news section (some seminars will change!!) members get discounts on the classes to spend at exhibition! And as its at Stonleigh Park Warwick, its not that far from you!!

The thing is I'm looking for the pump to inflate 350/360 as well, will the coolair do this?
I would love to go but have so far given up too many weekends this year as I do magic as well:(
Also with the duplicator 2, will it inflate on it's own or do I need an air compressor or tank to go with?

You can inflate 350's / 360's and bigger with the Coolaire but I think you will struggle with smaller balloons and you also have to pull on them as you inflate.

The duplicator 2 will require a compressor or nitrogen cannister.  However, having seen Roger's Dual Split working with a compressor I would say don't bother!  It is so slow it would be quicker to inflate using a Coolaire Pro and hand size.

Personally, I will continue to use my HEIDI and my Coolaire until I can afford / justify a Precision Air or a Zibi alternative but it would have to be one with 2 outlets as it makes making garlands or duplets so much quicker.

I think I'm going to go for the coolair as it's an inflator on it's own and easy to transport. If I go for the one without foot switch how does it work is it push down? or the black switch?
Also will the mini air with foot switch inflate 350s?

have you looked at the conwin Air force inflators - think its air force 4 these days.

Stand alone
inflates up to 4 balloons at one time (need 2 people to do this!!)
inflates small and large balloons
also has large hose for speed on bigger balloons
has foot pedals
just plugs in to electric ( no tanks)

In qualatex catalogue  page 134 (for grahams info as well as yours)
at a price of £237.93

also has an insider adapter to created stuffed balloons

Reads like a workhorse to me

Have gone for mini cool air as price was £90 so something to play with and do 350's, a mate of mine gave up balloon decor over a year ago and has given me loads of balloons as well as a regulator thing for gas loads of ribbon and some other stuff how cool is that.
Pam will book on a course in September as from Friday I only have 2 days off until the 4th Sept. I'm sort off torn as I did most off fundamentals at TMJ last year, I'm hoping by going on course it will give me a kick plus you are always helping others on here so you win every time xxxx
