When I looked on the idea website, all I can see for the not lamp is an up lighter with a reading light coming off it. Is the lamp everyone uses? Or is there one without the reading light?
How do you convert it from up lighter to balloon base? Does it require weighting to hold it steady?
If I wanted to create an arch, what could I use to bridge the gap at the top?
Sorry for all the questions, I'd like to try out a bit of decoration!
Many thanks
Ben
Have you tried the search button about the not lamps?
I thought I heard they were being dis-continued?
I'm guessing some plastic piping between the two would work for the arch.
Nope thats not the right NOT lamps (this is going to be confusing), the correct NOT lamps are these NOT lamps and NOT the other NOT Lamps, got it?
Here is the link - //http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50139877/
when I first read it, I was asking myself, what is this "not" a lamp ....
.... until I saw Rob's link.... :)
I've got one, you just don't screw in the final piece with the bulb and you get left with a weighted base and around 4ft pole.
I've never made an arch, but in principle you could attach the 2, but I wouldn't know if there was enough weight in them to keep them steady. I'll take a photo of the contents for you, gimme 5 mins.
Height is around 55" / 140cm
