This came to mind when a cheap pump failed as the base popped off.

HOWS IT POSSIBLE ?  go into your local "Poundland shop", there are others of similair name, which sell balloon pumps / kits with pumps, and remove the end away from where you locate the balloon.

However for only one pound ( GBP ), you can remove the end, thats the only hard part.

This stuffer is for 11" rnds, and small soft toys, limited to the size of pump.
when you have removed the end, pull pump out, leaving base empty, insert your toy. Pre inflate balloon to pre-streach it , deflate and the neck will streach over pump end , if you have cut end off ensure no sharp edges.
You can now fit another pump at balloon end, however i can blow through the pump to inflate balloon.
to simply stuff depress piston back into pump body pushing toy into balloon twist and tie. for better results attach clear line to toy before inserting into stuffer, keeping some line out, you can then support toy whilst in balloon, which will secure when tied.

Ok this has limitations and a bit of practice, but for the funfactor, worth £1.

Tried it but pump not big enough to take anything worthwhile. Found it hard to inject it.

Thanks Snurb , for feedback,
Small and soft bodied is best, ok for 11" balloon , balloon needs inflated fully to get neck wide enough. one of my attempts i in effect wrapped toy in balloon and then inflated.
i agree has limitations, but for fun and £1, and a bit of practice.

I have been considering Grahams dvd, "quicker by tube".
Graham if you read this, (or any one whose got DVD). can all parts needed still be got in B&Q, any idea on cost to build ? Thanks

You may have some parts sitting about your house or a friends but if you need to go out it will not be too expensive. Go to a small DIY shop rather than one of the big ones.
