I know most people here make animals by twisting balloons. I was thinking of something like this:

But an animal instead of a heart shape.
Do people do that? What is it called?

I've made a heart like the one above before, by making a copper wire heart and sliding balloon groups on it.
But I'm not sure if it will be a good idea for something complex like a teddy bear. I'd also like the animal to float and copper wire is heavy.
Any ideas?

framework and air filled 5" balloons will not float... and 5" balloons are too small for helium too, so dont waste your money...

if you have mastered making a heart frame, then you can turn those skills into creating other shapes... including animals

Just remember you have to add you balloons to the frame, so often people create frames then when they add the balloons its out of proportion.....

Always inflate your 5" to 3 or 4" maximum as it sits much better on the frame

look forward to seeing pictures of what you create

Hi Pam. I'd really want it to float. Any other material you think I could use to make the "frame" to make it lightweight enough?

Could you suspend it from the ceiling so it appears to float?
