Hi David,

The motorcycle will have to wait until I see Graham next week for some motorcycle wheels!

mil's balloons

Yesterday I made the Motorcycle for my son and neighbour.
They loved it.
Next time I have to order black wheels.

I just got the whale and dolphin videos.  They're great!  You're right -- the whale is super simple.  But it's really cute.  I've had people request whales, but I've never had one I could do before.  But I will now.  And your reviews are SO helpful!  Thanks so much!!!

RIDE INSIDE PONY - RATING : A

KIT LIST : 646Q WHITE / 350Q LILAC / 15" WHITE HEART

I originally tried making this model using a batch of five 15" white hearts from ebay - all of them popped with twisting the lobe. I bought a pack from Graham and the first one I used worked perfectly. So just goes to show don't buy balloons from ebay!!

Back to the model - this pony is massive and is a great wearable. The heart shaped head is a challenge when trying to grab a lobe from such a large heart and you may well burst a few trying. It is simple to make. Shana's tutorial for the artwork is excellent. I am rubbish at drawing but this looks quite good.

Probably not something I will make very often but a good design if you have a need for this.

PLEASE NOTE, THIS VIDEO WAS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE FOR REVIEW PURPOSES.

** UPDATE ** - I left this balloon in my house and had guests over last night. Everyone was wearing it and running around the house including the adults. So maybe I will be making this one quite often!

When i made the motorcycle the hardest thing is the sidewall bubble in the agaath. This is realy hard because its very thick latex. But when you manage it, it is great to see. It looks like a flaming gastank.

RIDE IN MOTORCYCLE - RATING : A

KIT LIST : 646Q RED / 16" BLACK DONUT / 11" GREEN AGATE / 350Q SILVER / 5" CLEAR / 5" YELLOW

I've decided that with the ride-in models the only way to really evaluate them is to get someone to wear them. My 14 yr old son loved this motorcycle and ran around my driveway this morning! This design does use some balloons that most twisters may not carry as standard stock but the end result is worth the investment.

The black donuts make excellent tyres and a gentle stretch of the inner hole makes the 350Q insert easily. The biggest challenge here is twisting a side wall bubble on top of the inflated agate. I popped three balloons in the process. It really is a wrestling match to get the bubble twisted and will be incredibly frustrating for all of you.

This design is great fun and well worth the investment.

That's all of David and Shana's balloon videos reviewed (until the next lot come along!)
