That is the title of the book that I picked up on Amazon for 50p yes 50p +£2.80 postage this week. It has al the twists described for the beginner and I believe was published in 2000 by Shar Levine and Michael Ouchi. I think for the price and for anyone new then this is an OK book, just flicked through, not read in detail. With over 40 designs, although many I have seen elsewhere but I'm sure the beginner will not have and it looks a good starting point. I made the dragon and scorpion from the book, I did add the white for the eyes which is not in the book.

I have to say I loved this book. It was the first book that I got on balloons. 10 years ago, my sister gave it to me as a Christmas present, and today I'm a professional balloon artist, with balloons as my only career. Not only that, I still use the horse, cat, dragon, and scorpion designs from this book regularly. If only the kit it came with (available at Barnes and Noble) had stronger balloons and a decent pump.

Yes that is the problem with possibly all kits a poor pump and even worse balloons, it puts people off straight away but then some may say that is a good reason to put poor balloons in a kit.
If they were good then maybe there would be more balloon modellers all over the world.

The more balloon artists the better. It's a shame having to link to 3 different places on my website to recommend a book, a pump, and a bag of balloons. Whenever we finish our intro DVD, it's gonna come with a bag of 100 carnival asst. and a 3 dollar red Qualatex pump. I don't want anyone to give up because I saved 5 bucks on materials.

Kenny, that would be a great way to have that book - on my ipad.  The E-Books site has it but you have to pay a membership fee.
