Balloon Review 097 - Balloon Magic Magazine #73

Another edition of balloon magic magazine.

Let's see what we have here.....

SNAIL BRACELET

KIT LIST : 260Q WHITE / 160Q GOLDENROD / 11" ROUND / 6" BLUSH HEART

A really lovely cartoon snail which can be used as a wearable wristband or a standalone design. The super agate shell really enhances the look. I used a bit of rubber cement to hold the neck against the shell is it gave a better look. I would recommend everyone to try SuperAgates - Graham sells them in smaller packets so you won't have to break the bank to own some.

ELF BRACELET

KIT LIST : 350Q BLUSH / 260Q ROSE / 160Q WHITE / 6" LIME GREEN HEART / 5" WHITE ROUND

You won't be surprised to hear this is a David Brenion design. Typically cute, wearable and easy to make. My elf ears are not as pointy as they should be. They look much better in David's original design. Very quick and simple to make. You will use this one (just realised I never attached my balloon to a base - oh well too late now as some child is walking home with it attached to their wrist!)

Of course this design can be easily adapted to make a Santa character.

MUSHROOM

I absolutely love this mushroom. This design uses a distortion technique which is fairly easy. Using an electric pump makes things a little easier but not essential. I didn't have any polka dot balloons so I used white round stickers. I also swapped the 11" white round for a 5" one as I felt it looked a little better.

Many possibilities here. Add a gnome or a fairy on top and you have a winner.

CHAMELEON

A wonderful Chameleon - I think this would look better in green than red. The 321Q body needs to be accurately sized otherwise the chameleon will look odd. I had to make it twice! Some tinkering is required to fit this all together but I am pleased with the end result.

PANDA HEADBAND

A really great panda using three white hearts. Not a beginners balloon as lobe twisting and plenty of stretching is needed to pull this one together. It would be fun to make a body for this.

The last design in this collection is a basic 646Q body. I haven't made this one as it needs 20+ 646Qs and I have no need to use it. If you are looking for a simple body for a decor piece then this one would be good.

SUMMARY

Another wonderful edition of the magazine. An absolute bargain and I encourage everyone to buy a subscription. I hope you enjoyed my review.
