OK, so this has been an anticipated PDF and I got it yesterday and spent the morning building.
As always, Dylan has produced a design that I am sure plenty of people will love and will be willing to pay for. The PDF was emailed immediately and whilst I had a little trouble with the app that was needed to open it on my ipad, I could easily access it on the laptop. It is a big file at 250MB.
It is very balloon intense, using 646, 350, 260, 160 and 321 balloons (mostly in black)
In order to make the instructions more obvious, Dylan builds this design in a variety of colours and this really does help identify the various parts.
I feel the overall result is great, though I would certainly alter some of the bubble sizes if I make it again (it doesn't quite look as good as the original) - for example, the large head bubble I would make a little smaller.
This is an advanced sculpture and if you find the sidewall bubble tricky in the Brenion masks, you will find the sidewall in a 260 a struggle (when he says make the bubble soft - do it).
There is also a pinch twist at the back of the head and this thing gets some real abuse with about 8 bubbles/balloons wrapped into it (a pop here would have been really frustrating).
I also found the 260 top lip (for want of a better word) did not lie as flat as Dylan's on he head and again I think that this may be down to bubble sizes on the sides of the head which I would make smaller next time.
This is not a design to take on if you have only got 'just enough' balloons for the design. Even with care, I ended up using a few extra and the silver 160 count was three or four instead of the 1 stated. (I am assuming a typo here).
The pictures are clear and the instructions are well written and easy to follow if you know what you are doing.
A real crowd pleaser and certainly worth the $15 (about £9.50). You will easily make that back with just one of these. If you want a wow design, buy, buy,  buy!!  :D
Kindest Regards

We must one day get together or try arrange a local Jam...I could do with picking the brains of some skilled artists. ;)

Thanks again for sharing. :D

I agree Paul, I always miss jams and days because I work as a teacher during the week. You are so close too. Perhaps a day during my half term. PM me and we can sort something out.

Stuart - how long did this take you to make? Just thinking how much time I need to have spare to have a go!

Hi Darren, it took me about two hours but I was taking my time and reading the instructions carefully (it is important to do the arms and legs in the correct order too to make sure you do to break off a 260 that you then need to replace later   )
I reckon I could build in an hour next time or less. With practice maybe 30 -40 mins.

I finally had a go at this tutorial, easy to follow steps and really clear diagrams. I have to say I did struggle to get the side wall bubble in the 260 but managed it eventually and fairly pleased with the outcome!

Well this looks freaking awesome, The Alien movie has been on my list of things to have a go at for a while now (can't think why) and I didn't realise Dylan had a PDF for it. I may just have to take a look at that. Thanks for the review :D
