BRIAR ROSE

To be honest my knowledge of Disney Princesses is a little limited and I have absolutely no idea who Briar Rose is! However, this model teaches you the basic design which nearly all the princesses are based upon. The heart for the skirt and a 350Q for the body gives a nice chunky feeling to the design. The head is supported on top of the body by a tying technique which keeps it firmly in place.

Putting this first model together you can see it is very modular and so can be easily changed by varying colours and hair design.

Really nice - you can I see I wasn't brave enough to draw a face!

Its really worth investing in this DVD Download.

There are lots of tips, tricks and advice on how to make these balloons efficiently and quickly as well as techniques to make it look the best you can.

If you are a reasonable twister you can work out how to make this without buying BUT supporting artists who create these downloads/ DVDs is important not only to encourage them to come up with new stuff and but also reward them for doing so. On this download Shana shows you how to make all the different Disney princesses with all the colours, hairstyles and its a really good purchase.

ARIEL (HUMAN)

Based on the first design this one has shoulders and slightly more complicated hair.  Attaching the head and keeping the shoulders in place was a little tricky. Perfect also as a generic Princess design.

SNOW WHITE

The best one so far - instantly recognisable simply by the choice of colours. The hair is slightly different and the bow looks lovely on top. A brilliant design.

BELLE

This one is the most complex so far. The head and hair design is really good especially the top of the hair. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully to secure everything in place. Not the quickest cutie doll to make but worth the extra effort if you have the time.

TIANA

Again very similar to the other designs but this one has a small crown mounted on top. It sits perfectly with the way to hair is constructed. I don't know who Tiana is... but I showed this to a young girl yesterday who instantly shouted the characters name!

I bought this tutorial and love the designs. I had to go and get a load of new balloons as I didn't have very many 350's and hearts but glad I did. I have made a few of these for friends and not used them for line work yet, but I can see them being very popular.

PRINCESS ANNA

An extremely popular Frozen character. Love the hair spirals and I added an extra balloon at the back of the head. Shana does add a white strand of hair to one side but I didn't bother. This one has a simple cape as well.

Definitely one I will be using.

ELSA

The first princess design not to use a heart shaped dress. This means Elsa can be added to a hairband. I used the advanced version of the hair which is great if you have a little extra time. I guarantee once you have made this one at a party it will be all you will be making the whole time.

JASMINE

A different style as this one does not use a heart for the dress. Princess Jasmine wears trousers hence the 260Q for the legs. The most impressive part of this design is the front section of the hair. I won't giveaway Shana's secret but this is simply brilliant. Make sure the front two bubbles and the perfect size (mine are slight too large) - this is so cool. This has to be one of my favourite princess designs.

Unlike the heart, this princess can be mounted onto a party cup, bracelet or headband (if she isn't too tall).

Really good.

AERIAL

A cuddly version of the popular mermaid. A 321Q makes the perfect tail. Everything else here is the same as the other princesses. I usually make Buster Balloons mermaid design for walkabout entertainment but I feel I will be sneaking this one in now and again.

MULAN

A not so popular Princess but I loved the movie. I wasn't sure if anyone would recognise this design but I posted it on my facebook page and she was identified fairly quickly. The arm section is the best here. Could easily pass as a japanese geisha or something like that.

I like it.
