I know there are many out there, but I can't really find what I'm after so please excuse the new thread.

How do you store your balloons in the house? Not an apron, but your other balloons?

I'm sick of tripping over bags of balloons and things as they are just on the floor of my office really as I keep getting them out.

I thought about one of the 'really useful' storage towers - you know the ones in Hobbycraft / Rymans. Something like this; http://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/u ... towers.php

But they are REALLY expensive for what is essentially a plastic box.

I then found this thread;
home-bargains-t7629.html?hilit=balloon

And it looks good - but how do you store your balloons in it? Do you use empty kitchen rolls to keep them together? Or just cram them in?
Anyone know where I can get something like this now? Can't find it on the website suggested - did find one on eBay but it's nearly £20 now.

I use something almost identical to this http://direct.asda.com/george/george-ho ... ethod=p13n
I got mine from a bargain style shop for about £12 and it had 4 drawers
For my hobby purpose it suits me fine and it is surprising how many balloons you can get in it.
I have 260's in two of the drawers, 160's, rounds, misc in another drawer and 350's/646's/321's in he final drawer.
I then write on the type of balloon and colour on the front of each drawer so I can access easily. I just keep them in heir bags in the drawers.
Hope is helps
Kindest Regards
Stuart

my balloon room has that style of storage...lol... but a drawer for each colour with us... small ones for 5" and big ones for 11" and Qlinks...

I also have pop up baskets stacked on top of each other with my 260's 350's 646's and printed 5" in

You just need to remember not to have too many as you need the turn around to keep them fresh so they dont pop

I had the same problem, and not having a spare room.  I ended up using a blanket box.  Looks nice in our room.  260s are in tubes and others are in small bags inside bigger bags of labelled similar balloons.  Works for now.

Hello all,

Here is my storage - Photo 1 - Firstly all of my 260s are in the shoe holder things, this hangs on the back of my spare room door, I can see what I am getting low on and keep a note of what I need to order, From here I refill my balloon bag/box that I take out with me when working. There are also a few other balloons in the show holder thing like some 11" rounds Geos and Donuts.

Photo 2 and 3 - The rest of the balloon are in these drawers, top drawer is heart and rounds as you can see in photo 3, I keep them wrapped up with an elastic band with the labels on top so I can easily see what they are.

Second drawer down is my spare hairbands

Third drawer is my 160s, again wrapped up with elastic bands (mainly to keep them small)

and bottom drawer is my 350s.

I use exactly the same system as Stuart has. The towers were around 12 pounds and have four drawers in each.  I only have two at the present time but am seriously thinking of adding another as they do tend to get quite compact sometimes ;-)

My balloons are in the 6 stacked containers, labelled as 160s all together, hearts rounds together, 360 and 660 together, and odds and sods, which is geos, 321s.  11" rounds, and anything special.

The mirror I use to check how pretty I look, but I think that is broke

Underneath that though is a row of ribbons and below that a roll of bags I use to put presentation balloons in. The bags are perforated on the roll and are the ones manufactured for dry cleaners garments, the ribbons are what I use to embellish the display

The drawers I keep things like headbands, cups, one drawer is full of scraps, one has plates and bottles for Ken's "Awesome Bouquets" which I make a lot of, one is full of sharpies and art stuff. They are full of useful things

On top of the drawers, bottom right of the mirror is an empty but re-sealed Champagne bottle, and a coke bottle of vegetable dye. Those I put against photos to give an idea of scale, and the different bottles suit either a kids or adults balloon.

The bottle next to that is a 2 litre coke bottle full of sand that I replenish from the beach about once every 10 days, and I use the sand for balloon weights.

I was going to post these the other week and things happen etc, I will post onto the thread I started as well but his is my new set up.

When I come up into the loft I smile like a kid in a sweet shop seeing all the balloons there.

So the black bags are the old shoe containers I used to have mu balloons in, they took up three times the floor space.
So not only do the balloons look brighter and so much more colourful the loft looks so much bigger as well, so a double bonus.

If anyone would like the old shoe boxes I used to use then let me know, if you order from me we can put into your next order so no shipping either.

All finished, I have used for building a few models now and definitely helps, so much easier to have everything there.
260's are in the lower unit and 160'/350's above. I might add a few 646's to the 260's but at the moment this is how I'm working at home.

Sweet jars, they come with lids but I did not use them.
