Ok, so i got a bunch of balloons together and i was seperating them into colours.  It seemed i had a huge amount of blacks.

Turns out that they are extremly dark colours and they only really show up once i had stuck some air in them.  Id rather not partially inflate them all to see what colours they really are.

I tried lying them on something that was black to allow contrast to help. It did, or so i thought. I thought i had seperate black, green and purple.  Thurned out there was a dark blue in the mix, and the seperation hadnt gone as well as i thought.

has anyone come across this issue and what is an easier, more effective way to do this?

Hi Jay.... I feel your frustration !!!

I am guessing that you have the Qualatex Traditional selection, which look great in the catalogue, but as you are finding, it is really difficult to tell the dark colours, and when blown up, most of the colours are the "see through" type.

The nicest selections are the tropical, or carnival mixes, which give a good selection of bright solid colours, and the character mix is good if you are going to do people.

Try those when you next order, and you will get a feel for the colours, and hopefully things will get busy for you in the Summer and you will have found the colours you like Then you can order those colours in bags of 100.

Good luck  :D
Kind regards
Kevin

Thanks.  You are correct.  I have had to partially inflate each and everyone to split the colours and yes, they are see through.  A little annoying but im a beginner so not the end of the world ( though after all this im sure i can see it from here )

I will certainly follow your advice.  carnival and character from here on i think

If you hold them up to the light during the day it is possible to just about tell them apart with out inflating.

There is a new mixed bag out called classic, it's the same colours as traditional but all solid colours so eliminating this problem.
We sold out at Blackpool last weekend but have just got more of the 260 back in stock.

I had that problem when I started, soon switched to single colours as it was just a complete pain sorting them.
