Title: Balloon Snap, week 1. Bull Dog.

Hi all, I have had some time on my hands lately and i was looking through all the old competitions, and I feel that this game is worth a second part.

So for those of you that don't know the rules: One person makes a sculpture, then we all try to copy the sculpture as best we can, the person who makes the best copy is the winner. The winner is picked at the end of each week by the original designer of the balloon sculpture. Then that winner must make a design for everyone to copy and they must choose a winner after a week...and so on.!

So it's like the well known card game SNAP!!

You can enter each game as many times as you like.

I'll get the ball rolling..

Wow that is hard! Just one balloon?
This is the best I have come up with so far and there was no room left to make the body.

There is a technique to it. I will be doing a tutorial on this sculpture at the end of the week, next week that is.

I did show a few people this design at one of Graham's days.

So im sure some of you know how to do it.

Hint Try inflating the balloon to just over half way, about half an inch over half way!!

I will have to wait for the tutorial. It is beyond my skills to figure it out.  :mrgreen:

Had a few disasters, then tried with a 160, and got some kind of demented lion/dog thing  :shock:

May have another go tonight  :D

Wow, that was tough from just 1 balloon, It took me 3 or 4 attempts and then something clicked and this was the result :D

Excelent Rob...I've just worked out where I was going wrong....I was using the wrong colour Balloon !!!!

PS Loved the idea of a Dalmation for your 101st balloon  :D

Yes the Colour does help, I took the whole idea of the game literally, same balloon sculpture, same colour, same pose, I don't have a Dell Laptop to prop him up against tho :(

glad you liked the Dalmatian, had to be done for day 101 :D

Hi all. Thanks for taking part in this game, some great attempts of the dog were made.

It was a hard decision, But the balloon snap title goes to Magirob!!

Well done Magirod!!

So Rob, you know the rules, you now make a sculpture and pick a winner next Sunday Or Monday.

I will do a tutorial of this sculpture next week!!

Well done Rob. Can't wait to try the model again using the tutorial. Perhaps I will end up with something other than a prop from embarrassing bodies! ;)
