Here we go then with the competition, the idea is to make another animal from the basic 260 dog sculpture, the dimensions can be whatever you want.
Standard dog, super skinny etc but it must have three loops for the ears and two sets of legs.
Thelma and I did this at the juggling last week and came up with I think 13/14 designs in about 30 mins.
I held off from posting these so that we get some new ideas, so there you go, were off to win the Patrick van de Ven DVD.

The winner will be announced at the Bristol day on Monday 12th May but you do not have to attend to win.

Some examples of your starting point, a picture before and after would be good.

Here are some of my attempts. These all began as a basic 3 twist dog. Then I began to experiment with pushing one loop through another, or attaching existing tie points together (such as wrapping the nozzle
Into another twist).

I'm not sure that any of these look like any one particular animal as they are all improvised on the spot, but with some refinement I think I see some potential in there.

I have MANY more photos like this from today's photo shoot, but I didn't want to bombard this post with too many pictures.

Quote from: "cashmagic"Can you add to the 3 twist ?
Yes you can add anything, we tied things through and pushed things this way and that, half way through etc when at the juggling convention last week.
I will post our efforts later on maybe?

This is one I made last week, it was a vacuum cleaner. Thelma took the picture and that is her finger over part of the lens.
It started off as a three twist dog.

Here is my go. These are in order of how they came about from the one dog.
Kindest Regards

We all have our cross to bear, but some of us need more wood than others!

I was chatting with Connie this afternoon and I had an idea I could make a leg from the dog, it worked.
Stuart, Thelma and I got a hmmmmm one as well, we called him the tree hugger but fell about laughing for 10 mins. We were like a couple of school kid's.

This is an interesting thought experiment! I played with my 3 twist dog and did some roll throughs and sidewall bubbles. then i added a scrap for eyes. I guess it is some kind of worm?
