Also it looks like you used 160's for the head is that right?
I hope you don't mind me asking, I have been looking for a different cat to make.
thanks Andy (Twisty) :D
Hi Andy,
Glad you like te cat, but I can't give too much away, as it is not really mine, but based on a Patrick van de Ven design. You are right though. the head os 160's apart rrom the eyes, and the white muzzle, which continues underneath to make the tummy. The ears are seperate balloons added on.
I will try to find a side view of him .

Ok we are still waiting for Leslie to pick a winner for the letter C. As we are already into the next 2 weeks.....
As soon as we get the winner then we will carry on. I have sent Leslie a PM.
Ok, sorry for the late results!
Here are the fast statistics of posted figures:
Graham - 1
Dan - 2
Andy - 2
Kevin - 5
Me - 4
All your figures are very nice and inspirational. Now I don't decide based on numbers of posts.
For me the Kevin's red crab is the best because of the careful details. Great work!
So, the winner is ..... ..... ..... Kevin and his red crab.
I must notice, that Dan's artwork (Tigger face) and Andy's cake are very nice, I love them.
Don't give up guys, comes the next letter! ;)

Don't forget Friday is the last day to enter. There have been some great entries by the stalwarts, let's see a few more people having a go :D :D
Hey Kevin! We have to count your last post three times because it is Disney Donald Duck...
great Donald Kevin! I was hoping to jump in on this challenge, but haven't had a chance. I will try to get something done this afternoon or by tomorrow.
If not....I will get in on the next one. I am ready with ideas for the letter 'E' ;)
Looking foreward to your letter E stuff Tonya.
I can understand you being a bit busy now, 'cos you've got a new baby :D :D :D
Hi All
Last day Today !!!!!
Judging Tonight, and winner to be announced Tomorrow :D
D for ducks.
I've just made a couple of things to add to the D list but need to go out now so will add when I get home later as I need to take pictures and re-size.
I decided to make a duck but was not happy with the shape and look etc so made a few, still needs some work but getting nearer the look;
Here they are together;
Fantastic Graham!
D**king great even.... sorry
So playing about with the design I ended up with four ducks with all slightly different variations.
Last set;
Congrats Graham, very realistic ducks! Especially the green head - simply super! Thanks sharing!
Them Ducks are really good Graham.. ;)
I hope you have enough bread to feed them all
THE RESULTS ARE IN ................
There have been some great models put up.
Matt Cutland made a realy nice pink dog with balloon and flower, and I loved his Daleks (dead and alive!) :D
Leslie did a great Schnauzer dog, and a lovely Pluto type yellow dog :D
But the winner is ......................GRAHAM LEE with thse great Mallard Ducks. Great attention to detail and realism.
Well done Graham, and on behalf of Kenny, thanks all for taking part :D :D :D
NEXT LETTER E
E is for Elephant
Thanks Kevin, but a big thank you to all who took part as well and make the forum what it is :D and those that didn't come on please join in and have some fun, it's good to care and share.
Kevin can you ring me????
Congrats Graham, I think It is a deserved victory - your duck is the best I ever seen.
Well done on that win Graham.
The next comp for E will finish on the 27th of March.
Good Luck Everyone!!
Kenny
Here's my E for elephant - you may think it looks like a poor man's Don Caldwell hat... and you'd be right! :(
--Neil
Great stuff Neil, I love this design, but have never made it.
Mr C would be proud of you :D :D
I just showed my wife the pics on this thread. Graham she liked your ducks but thought they were very naughty and mischievous looking :o :D
Hi! I want to post a photo, but I can't figure out how. Any suggestions?
Hi Carolynn,
I was in the same boat, but I called Graham, and he talked me through it.
Any friend of Tonya is a good friend of ours here, so I would suggest talk to Tonya, and ask her to help you, and it would be great to see your stuff here :D :D :D :D
There are two threads/topics on re-sizing etc, hope they help.

If you are still having issues after looking at the threads Graham suggested, give me a shout.
Glad you joined in :D
Just made a quicky, but an all-time cutey :)
elmovlo.jpg[/attachment:dhjcrs0m]
Everyone loves Elmo!!
Yay...I finally got a time to play! Here are my 'E' balloons...
Easter baskets~
easter-baskets.gif[/attachment:o8wczcg8]
Confused Easter Chick
confused-easter-chick.gif[/attachment:o8wczcg8]
Earwig
earwig.gif[/attachment:o8wczcg8]
One last one....how about...
Egg Timer
egg-timer.gif[/attachment:2crf49ig]
Wow Tonya I really like the baskets and the Earwig looks real!!
Thanks Twisty :)
I have one more. The body should have been a smidge longer, but here is my Egret.
Egret.gif[/attachment:acw3v5vs]
Okay...now I'm done :D
Really nice pieces as always, Tonya - I do like the earwig and the baskets too, but it's the egg timer that I'm intrigued with - I've spent ages looking at it (the dial / central area in particular) and I can't figure out how you've done it?!?!... :?
--Neil
Wow Tonya
Fabulous pieces as ever. I do hope you get a chance to come here in November, Wherever it is, I would walk over burning coals to get there :D :D :D :D
PS Hope your new babies are ok, sounded a biy traumatic, the last one, hope all is well xx
Still trying to post my entry - the Eiffel Tower!
Carolynn
p.s. Tonya - I love the egg timer!!
Great Eiffel Tower Carolynn!
Kevin...I hope we don't have to do such drastic measures to have me there. I would hate to see you burn your little tootsies walking over burning coals.
Neil...you would be amazed at how simple it was. The outside is a 350...1.5" pinch twist, about a 7-8" bubble, 1.5" pinch twists and 3" bubble. Inside the hole in the back is a 260 basically the same but without the pinchtwists. (to fill in the hole). The top (dial) is actually a piece of sheet latex cut into a circle. I used rubber cement to attach it to the 350, added 2-160s around the sides of it, and drew on the face. The very center is a small piece of 160 glued on. :)
Hope that helped....
Hi Tonya,
Thinking about it, I'd probably keep my shoes and socks on, best for us all really !!!!
I'd hate to burn my little tootsies as well :D :D :D
I've been trying to sort out an elephant wearable for a few days now with no luck so was playing with an old elephant design.
Are we moving on to F yet?
I think 'E' finished on 27th March - I'd just go for it if you've got an 'F'!
--Neil
Who won!?!
To start F I have a couple of flowers:flowers 4.jpg[/attachment:onqdg6bq]Flowers 7.jpg[/attachment:onqdg6bq]
I like the first flower Matt, a different idea.
I have just been informed I was meant to choose a winner for the letter E, shame I have no idea about the rules on this forum :D
So the winner is Tonya and her Easter Baskets, it was close between them and the earwig.
Well Done Tonya. ;)
You must choose the winner of the letter F. On the 10th of April.
So good luck to everyone.
Thanks Graham :-) Can't wait to see all the "F" things. :D
So, can I still enter "F" ideas even though I'm judging this one? (I won't vote for myself of course  )
I like the first set of flowers too Matt. Neat idea.
Hi Tonya.
Yes please do enter things for "F". ;)
My F balloon (not an FL tower  ).
It's not French either, it's Chinese : a Feng Shui protection.
(here is the original (//http://www.google.fr/imgres?q=wu+lou&um=1&hl=fr&client=firefox-a&sa=X&rls=org.mozilla:fr:official&tbs=ic:specific,isc:yellow&tbm=isch&tbnid=L5xe7zaDP2B5kM:&imgrefurl=http://gallery.dragongeomancyhouse.com/&ei=WhieTayVJpOGswbju4WbBA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1348&vpy=515&dur=367&hovh=79&hovw=82&tx=127&ty=65&oei=WhieTayVJpOGswbju4WbBA&page=1&tbnh=78&tbnw=81&start=0&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:23,s:0&biw=1600&bih=685))
Nice Pepita! (even if it isn't the FL tower...lol)
Here is a frankfurter with the works, a frankfurter with just mustard and a Firecracker...
Frankfurter-with-everything.gif[/attachment:had2fumy]
Frankfurter-with-mustard.gif[/attachment:had2fumy]
fire-cracker.gif[/attachment:had2fumy]
Thanks Tonya :) .
I love your sandwiches !
Thanks Pepita. okay...I guess I need to judge now.
As much as I like your originality on your feng shui Pepita, I couldn't find the original picture to compare it to.
And I really like Matt's blue flowers. They were very original too, so Matt...you won this one. :D
Off to the letter "G".........
Here;s an obvious one to start with
Giraffe. The muzzle was a goldenrod Alien head, the eyes acting as nostrills
Lovely use of the Alien head Phoenix!! :)
Thanks Danny :D :D :D
Love the nose on the giraffe Kevin! I agree, great use of the alien head. :D
Okay...these are not very good, but here is a globe and a British GNAT T.Mk1. The GNAT (jet) didn't turn out quite as well as I wanted it to, but it's okay. I will make a few changes on it if I ever do it again.
globe.gif[/attachment:3bhl37je]
British-Folland-Gnat-T.Mk1.gif[/attachment:3bhl37je]
What a cute giraffe !
I wanted to make a gorilla friend for him, but my monkeys look like chimps, not gorillas :-/.
And I love your globe Tonya ! It's also a good idea for boys who want a "serious" balloon.
In the end, I'll post a girl I made a few weeks ago.
Cute girl Pepita! I like the hair :-)
Here are more 'G' balloons...Grapes, Grail and Goldfish.
grapes.gif[/attachment:xieiu3re]
grail.gif[/attachment:xieiu3re]
goldfish.gif[/attachment:xieiu3re]
Wooaaa I love the grail ! How did you manage to do the top "hollow" part ? Seems like a mystery to me  !
Thanks Pepita. The top of the grail is actually Thelma Levett's technique. She has instructions for how to do it on her 'Something for Everyone' CD.
http://www.balloonjam.com/thelma/ (http://www.balloonjam.com/thelma/). I don't know if it's posted anywhere else.
I just put a 160 around the top so that it looked more hollow, and added a circular piece of sheet latex to try and make it look like a drink.
Doesn't anyone else have any 'G' balloons to post?? :(
Will put some up tonight :D :D
Thanks Pepita for your offer to make a Gorilla friend for my Giraffe :D
Gorillas are quite difficult to get right, I have never made a successful one. I may try after the weekend. Meanwhile here is a friend for your Girl !!!!
I have also just done a Goofy, and this Golfer I made a while ago for a birthday, is prety much the same as one I think Graham has on his website.
Talking of Graham, here are a couple of Guns he taught me :D
Here are some from my album.
G is for Grumpy Old Git (My neighbour Martyn) :D
G is for Golden Wedding Anniversary Bouquet
I had forgotten about that first gun design so will be using it again, it's like finding another new model :)
I'm working on a 'G' that I haven't seen before - but so far it's rubbish. (I'm trying to get it right before the deadline!)
(PS - Martyn looks a bit scary, Kevin! )
--Neil
Thanks for the girl Kevin !
(and the guns too, I'm always at a loss with boys' stuff, so these could come in handy).
Well no gorilla, no problema  .
Once upon a time, in a beautiful place in Africa, lived a young giraffe. He spent his days eating leaves and watching the gorgeous landscape. But he felt very lonely. He kept looking and looking but could not see anything else than trees, and the horizon.
In this area lived a gorilla too. He too, felt very lonely, as the only living thing he could see around him were weird spotted poles that kept walking but never talked...
One day....
Ask Grand'Ma, she'll tell you the tale :-)
I tried to make a book for her to read from, but did not manage, so if someone has a clue on how to make a book out of balloons (I tried flat weaving, but it did not look like a book :-().
And suggestions are welcome, it's my first balloon grand'ma and it looks a bit akward...
I put a blue dress because a teacher told me 20 years ago that grand'mas in Great Britain wore blue. Is it true ? In France they tend to wear brown.
Hi Pepita,
what a lovely story, I must find out how it ends !!!!!!
I love your little Grandma, so cute :D
Glad the guns will help you. Thanks Graham for them, he taught me them when he bought over my MacPump
Can't wait to see what Neil comes up with :D :D :D
Looks like two weeks are up (well, two & a half sorry!). All the entries were good but I especially liked Pepita's girl, Pheonix's Goofy and Tonya's grapes. Hard to pick between the three however I think Tonya's has won with her grapes. Well done!
On with H...
lol...thanks Matt. I love ALL the figures that were posted! Great ideas!
Good luck with the next couple of letters everyone, unfortunately I won't be able to participate until after May 25th :(
I won't be on much between now and then, but I am definately excited to see what everyone posts!
Have fun!
Ok all.
