Star prize time again, how about if we have 3/4 or 5 mini competitions and then maybe Colin, Thelma and myself will judge a winner taking into account how many years twisting experience people have. The first mini competition could be make a design for a headband especially as Roger has just supplied quite a few people, even if you do not have any headbands you can just make something that would sit on the head. I will announce what the prize is in the New Year.

Plan on starting a new thread specifically for the min-competitions?

Any other idea's for the competition? If we have 4 mini events,
1, make the headband,
2, what is your funny balloon modelling experience, sad balloon modelling experience, marketing tip? What works for you. Funny joke line while balloon modelling.
3, model of the month, make one of the models from this section
4, Any suggestions for mini competition number 4

Is everyone OK with 2 weeks for each comp, shall we make it a week, 10 days?
how can we add in, get a new member to join, tell everyone about balloon chat,
maybe everyone that enters has to post the competition entry on there facebook page with a link to the forum?

Think the Facebook idea is a great one - I don't really have many balloon artists on my Facebook though but I would happily post on Qualatex group on Facebook as it would reach a much better audience that way. Two weeks is perfect for me. One request though can we start from January 1st as I am aay most of this week or at home with the kids and won't have much time to enter... X

Yes it offically kicks off in the New Year.

This is my entry.  I have been thinking about it since this idea came up on the post.  Finally, I figured what I wanted to do, and darned if a similar one didn't come up on another forum.  However, I can honestly say this is my original idea - even if someone else though of it as well.

how will you find winner for star prize, ? do you need to enter all four and get placed etc ?

You have to enter all competitions to win, it will be judged taking everything into account including 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each different competition.

Graham, thanks for arranging this. I may have to retract my entry and make another one!
