Just back from the Bristol magic convention and the Care & Share day.
Thanks to all who came along, hopefully one or two items were useable for a few?
Will post some pictures tomorrow.
A few pictures of the stand set up at the magic day.
I did take some of my magic to sell, a few looked but not that many to be honest.
We did make a few balloon models for the stand but I was too busy chatting.
Then it was onto the Bristol Care & Share day,
we were there at nine as agreed and the person arrived at 9.40 to open up.
I would think twice before going back to the venue, we had to be in hall 1 in the morning
and hall 2 in the afternoon. The kitchen was all locked up in hall two and I got no replies
from phone calls to see if we could get it open. We walked back and forth to the first hall
where there was meant to be a band rehearsal but no one showed up all day.
It was a little unusual to say the least.
I think we all made the most of the day and enjoyed it? Well I hope everyone did.
So this was upstairs in hall 1.
The balloons on the table were some of the ones I had made at the magic day the day before.
Then it was change over time and off to the other hall.
Dave made the bug for his 30 day insect challenge, I think it's being posted on instagram.
Then it was light sabre challenge.
Russell did a little spot for us on a balloon magic routine.
I wont mention the punch line but everyone I think did laugh.
A few Yoda designs form the day.
More Yoda's.
Yoda looks a little TNMT with the blue band. The cat in black and white.
Dave with another of his 30 day insect challenge designs.
It was then onto the competition, I showed the body design for a dog in the morning
and you had to add a face to the dog for the competition.
Some of the people at the day had hidden talents.
A few more of the entries, all trying to win the stunning STAR prizes ;)
All the entries for the competition.
There was also a very late entry as well, this was Dave 3. It did get a little confusing.
Then Amanda kindly got up and showed as a very usable idea.
This will be elaborated on later in the year as Amanda will be running a day for us sometime soon.
The winner of the competition was Georgina, well done.
This was voted on by everyone who attends the days.
I was trying to make a dogs face for the body I made but ran out of time.
Everyone then had a play with the concept Amanda had shown us all.
A few more from the technique Amanda showed.
Amanda showing the bird design I came up with from her technique.
And then it was the tidy up, thanks to all who attended the day.
Helped carry the shop in and out, brought a few nibbles, appreciated.
Thanks to Amanda and Russell for the mini lectures as well.
Dave was awarded the gold star by Lyn, Russell got a gold star from Amanda.
I finished the dog off when I got home after the event.
