Well I am possibly the most inexperienced twister on this site but keen and eager to learn.  Until 18 months ago not only had I never twisted a balloon I was actually afraid of them popping.

It was this fear and not wanting my children to see it (and wanting to diversify my fledgling face painting business) that lead me to book a place on Graham's Care & Share in Mildenhall last June.  As I left my family at Center Parcs (yes we were on holiday at the time!) I was terrified that I was going to have a hissy fit over the balloons and make a complete fool of myself in the process.

As it turned out I got over my fear really quickly and thoroughly enjoyed they day.  I walked out with some bags of balloons and Graham's DVD and filled the villa with my poor attempts at balloons

Balloons went on a back burner for quite a while ... mainly due to having a 2 year old, a 4 year old, a fairly busy face painting business and editing a face painting magazine!.

Although I added Balloons to some of my parties I hadn't had any bookings for them on their own until December which I found didn't give me much enthusiasm to learn as they all wanted dogs and swords   .  I have now done 3 late night shopping nights at my local mall, a school for deaf children's Christmas Party and a store opening and I have thoroughly loved every minute of it.

It is now my new year resolution to actually learn some more advanced models (I still stick to mainly one balloon models out of fear more than anything) and to get my standalone website up and running by the end of January so that hopefully I can get more balloon work in rather than have it propping up the face painting.
