If you are using good quality latex balloons 11" should float for 16-20 hours without hi float...  9/10" balloon will float for 6-10 hours

lesser quality latex balloons will float for less time

If you are using foils anything smaller than 18" is usually air fill only

We dont buy pure helium anymore (not done for many years), its called balloon gas.. because
1/ they added oxygen to try to save the lives of those that inhale it

2/ BOC (dont know about others) goes to NHS first to cool MRI and CT scanners etc then is collected back and changed to balloon gas.

Yes its rouse matrix

check out the website it will give instructions
think its supposed to be duplets you use!!
never got on with it much myself

try spraying the frame with the photo tack spray
it helps hold the balloons in place

you can buy them pre made...

or if you have poles and bases
buy a length of ali rod and bend it to shape
and push it into the poles taping with gaffer tape to hold...

or you could do a 4 balloon cluster helium filled arch

you need heavy weights on each leg other wise the balloons will pull the poles in..

a lot of people these days use IKEA not lamps for poles and bases but if you are doing a dance floor canopy you will need to add at least 25Lb.. bar bell weights to each leg .. they sell these i believe at argos.. to stop the poles moving inwards or tilting over

UPUPandaway and rainbow balloons sell squibs

attach it to the balloon...use proper sellotape over the squip end to hold it onto the balloon and fire inwards.. do not use cheap stuff as it wont work.. join it by a chocci block or electric tape to twin cable bell wire take the wire back to the dj booth.. check it with a multi metre that its live and use a 9v battery.. one terminal to each wire once both wires touch terminals balloon will explode

The ones I have here are quite shiney.... so presume they are metallic
been doing a weave with them and they worked quite well

thought I had my answer, as I have tried others and they were fine maybe I am wrong again!!

found out why we had the thoughts we did

The balloons we have are metallic ones which are the same as Qualatex pearl tone ones

hence why they are harder and why we cant mouth inflate

ask the question Pamela and have some standard ones to play with next time

Duhhhhhh

Balloon Chit Chat / New 260's at Spring Fair 2015

Spring Fair at NEC I know is mainly a decorators event rather than twisters, but thought I would ask, just in case

Did anybody go and get samples of the NEW Anagram 260's
and try them?

If so what do you think of them?

My first personal impressions

They are harder in texture than Qualatex ones
(I tried sempertex years ago and they where harder and made my hands hurt by end of the day, so this makes me cautious to the feel)
I was told yes they are thicker

Paul has tried a few times on different colours we had given to us
and none as yet have blown up by mouth inflation, maybe its a different technique needed to do this with these... it was not something we discussed at the show

Told me they are 20% cheaper to buy
but that is less than 1p per balloon, so not phased or excited by that

When I am out twisting, I want the confidence in the product I use, that it will do what I want it to do.... I am happy using Qualatex balloons, they suit me and my style of working, I have never had much of a problem with them (even my latest black 260's bag I am not experiencing any poppages, which others say they are!!)..

But I accept that choice and competition is a good thing for all to have in any product in any industry... and if nothing changed nothing would develop

Anyone else got anything to say about them?
