Nice, i think I like the one with just the one balloon for the muzzle best, and the little mouth to one side,
I'll upload pictures once I've got this big woven one done
Can be tricky to know where to start.  Well probably best to start with a cup of coffee but I'm starting with the eyes and then the muzzle and then the rest of the head...

That looks great for an ox or a bull, a nice firm head, you could put it in a square and you'd have an oxo cube.Coffee

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: Crowd control

I've used numbered tickets before but that's a really good idea on your post card and also the idea not to hand out another ten until those are done, for ultimate control of your tea breaks and schedule.  Geoff's patter strategy for dealing with the end of the line, as outlined in his lecture, does deal with the situation very effectively as well.
I have on occasion used menus in the past for choices of models but more for comedy and to inspire than for strict sticking to them, eg with lots of different designs on one side and then just dog and sword on the other, you explain how you turn the menu round if you don't like someone or if its going home time.  There's lots of scope for pictures, jokes, optical illusions etc to have on laminated cards to help amuse the line (in addition to, of course, not instead of your own hilarious and charismatic banter)

Oh yes, of course; also ironic infact that the first ever balloon animals were probably made from intestines (as in balloon dogs made by cavemen).

ha ha I'm sure there must be someone that balloon would be good for.  I would like to do the whole 'insides' eventually - sort of like an invisible man.  I did another version of this one with a woven brain on top, the brain had two eyes sticking out on stalks and was based on a brain I made for a client who happens to be a brain surgeon.  I made up areas of the brain and wrote on with a sharpie;  'perception', 'memory', etc.  Then you explain to the audience that the heart is the most difficult of all the parts to make but all you do is blow up a 6" heart and pretend to shape it.

I still get requests for the lower intestines every now and then (a la the Mask).  The twists and turns are not in quite the right places here but it gives the idea.  To make 'live' I would use the same blush heart for the stomach but do the intestines in a more comical manner - just a 160 tied up in pretzel within pretzel style knot.

Here's a picture dished out from my archive, but the food is still surprisingly fresh and the coffee still hot; a cheaper, smaller breakfast; couple of sausages, two eggs and beans.

They probaby had a kebab van booked for later.
Might be quite a good thing to shout at the end of a gig when you're trying to get away, just shout 'there's free ice cream that way'.

Hi Debbie,
Many thanks for looking into the Alien Face size Discrepancies.
I agree with you that the new violet purple is such a wonderful rich colour.
Many thanks indeed for all your fascinating replies.
