I like those ideas a lot. Danny mentioned themes, so we could use other ones when there isn't an "event" coming up maybe?

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: BALLOONS POPPING!!!!!!!!!!!
July 08, 2008, 08:09:26 PM
I had a problem with balloons bursting a month or so ago.
It was outside, on a windy day, but dry and warm, not rainy. Bits of grit were blowing about and I put some of the balloons popping down to this. It may have accounted for one or two, but it kept happening.

I thought it was me doing something wrong, so it's nice to hear that it is one of those things that happen from time to time. In the end it looked like a graveyard for popped balloons or part twisted models.

Sorry about the picture quality, just trying to see how to load photos on here. If it works, I'll post some better ones soon.

Thanks for the welcome.

Looking forward to joining in with some photos at some point. Still only on basic stuff, but hoping to get some more DVD's to learn from soon.

Hello Oswald and thank you for doing this interview.

Do you feel there is a balance between creating new shapes to help people to create new or better designs, against making it too easy to make some models?

Are some of the designs meant for public, rather than Twisters?

I can see that ready made models, that just need to be blown up, such as a caterpillar or snake, are brilliant for somebody to buy from a shop, but would hope that somebody wouldn't charge to make a balloon model, then just blow one of these shapes up.
This isn't a criticism of shapes, I just wondered about the thought processes involved.

A different question now, if I may.

How are the choices of colours made? Are any changed due to feedback you have? Do you feel that you are at or near the limit, of colours?

The colours I have bought so far I have been very pleased with. They are definitely more solid and brighter than from "the other" place.

Many thanks for your time.

Balloon Tutorial & Help / Re: What balloons?
June 10, 2008, 12:51:49 AM
Just to show my ignorance, but what balloons do people use if you want to use round balloons in your models? It's just that the Bee Body, 160's, 260's, etc are what are sold by different people, but wondered if there were "modelling" round balloons?

Thanks.

Welcome / Hi All

I have been making basic models for about three years I guess. It was a spur of the moment decision to buy some and "give it a go." I found that I enjoyed it and my Pink Panther and Goofy actually looked a little bit like the ones in the book!

Until a few months ago, it was just something I did more as a hobby, though thinking about childrens shows at the same time. Now I have given myself that push to get myself some DVD's, lots of balloons and putting away practise time. Hope to expand my knowledge and ability and looking forward to the enjoyment I get, and know that I can give, from making balloon models.
