Balloon Chit Chat / Bookings and weather
December 18, 2010, 10:25:28 AM
I have two shows booked in today and we had a bad snow fall yesterday that caused chaos again and it's still snowing now.
The second party has rung to postpone to the New Year which I think was a very sensible decision and I rang the first party to see what the situation is, they had a think about it and have just rung to say they would like to go ahead with the party as nearly everyone lives near the hall and can walk. Oh dear, I'm six miles away and am guessing I will just be stuck in traffic, still keep smiling and look upon it as an adventure  :D
Will report back on how I got on.

Balloon Chit Chat / Lovely time of year
December 15, 2010, 10:55:19 PM
With a few shows over the Christmas period there are so many fun added non planned moments with the children, just little gems.
If I tried to explain some they would just get lost in translation, normally you just have to be there. I had three shows today and all had little gem added moments.
I'm having a wonderful time and hopefully so are all the schools and playgroups that have booked me, just wanted to share  :D

Have decided to use the feet as the model of the month, probably for no other reason than I just love the picture and the overall look, hoping they will be useful to some along the way and incase they are have put a picture of the hands as well.
Thelma and I made these for the Esquire magazine, as always, hoping a few join in and have a go.

Picture Gallery / Reflection
December 01, 2010, 10:40:58 PM
Not sure how this came about but possibly since I did these flowers with Thelma about 18 months ago and we took this picture that for me just seems magical.
So I have taken a picture that I think is bland and it has possibilities when reflection comes into the equation, well for me it does   ;)
The second picture is the same as the third but has the added reflection.

Picture Gallery / Batman & Robin
November 28, 2010, 09:13:07 PM
It was my grandson Zakh's 4th Birthday party today and he is Batman crazy, the old 60's show. He has the complete series on DVD with the kapow, zap whack etc.
So we made him a version of Ken Stillman's superhero figure;
I forgot to cover his nose in the first shot.

Balloon Chit Chat / Dustin Queary DVD Guns N' Robots
November 26, 2010, 11:35:27 PM
Shonna gave me two DVD's to look at and review at the millennium jam and I have just got around to sitting down to spend a few minutes looking at Dustin, her son's DVD.
After the first model it was worth getting, that is if I had of bought it  :)
The revolver is excellent, quick and to the point. If you are PC then this probably is not the DVD for you but it's definately a boys and his toys one with a gatlin gun, M-16,
RPG Launcher and double barrel shotgun. I have not got to the robot section yet but will report back when I get a few minutes to watch the rest of the DVD.
I expect you will need to buy direct from Shonna if you would like to get a copy, will make a few of the models to post to give you a flavour of things but Dustin has a very quirky way with himself and is definately having fun in front of the camera with a very, very laid back approach. He is very softly spoken and I did have to have the volume on maximum on the windows media player and on my computer.

Picture Gallery / Bride, Diego Calavia
November 24, 2010, 07:11:11 PM
Every year after we get back from the millennium jam I rarely twist or make things that I have seen, so this year I thought I would try a few that I liked. I have posted the helicopter that is a variation on Peter van Engen on the christmas balloon competition and I was very impressed with Diego Calavia ( http://www.diegocalavia.com ) with his balloon jewelry and his class where he made the bride from 260's and then at the second class from 646's, these pictures can be found on the millennium jam thread.
So this afternoon I made my variation;
