Yes I had no problems either  ;)  I just get in touch with those who know and ask them to do a copy for me as well as I have no idea how to put the links onto DVD.
So thanks Tony and just in case anyone is wondering yes I am one of the 200.

Just had this email from Don;

Arrgh!  Drop Box has disabled the links due to excessive traffic.  I will find an alternative solution before the weekend is out and let you know where and how to download them.

Sorry to tease you like that,

Buster

I did the magic show for the school tonight, they had a BBQ, bouncy castles etc. When I arrived the music was so loud you had trouble thinking, all the children were hyped up and the adults were at tables at the back of the room drinking, it reminded me of the bad old days trying to entertain at the holiday parks. So I thought the show was a bit of a challenge but just about OK, kept my head above water while paddling franticly underneath. After the show my daughter and son in law thought it went very well, strange how we perceive things. I always find shows more difficult when people we know are in the audience.

So we left after the balloon workshop yesterday every class with a bag of balloons to make something to show this evening, considering the children are just 8/11year olds I was very pleased with what they had attempted.

1, Car
2, Spiders Web
3, Fruit Bowl

I should have taken a picture of the car when it was held up as the wheels did sit nicely on all four corners.

Congratulations to Sean. I can see a theme coming on here, twice I've entered with only two entries and twice I have finished last.
Just lucky I'm thick skinned otherwise I would need to go into therapy  ;)

I think some of the classes had 35 children so a few extra were inflated due to this and we did get a few pops, more so in the larger groups as it's not so easy to keep an eye on everyone.
We believe some were popped on purpose.

I am looking at two halls, both are North of Leeds and near to Leeds/Bradford airport. I have just booked two rooms for the 15/16th Nov at the Travelodge for £24 a night each. It looks like the halls are fairly close in Arthington and Pool In Wharfedale. Hope to confirm once the other hall gets back to me, the Arlington hall has both days free and we can use the hall Wed night as well which may be handy.

Yes I think 40 mins would give you time to explain a few other things about balloon modelling, not more models but some tips and hints. So on the hour every hour would be good so that you get a 20 min break to get a coffee and relax a little. We did four straight sessions and never got a break till 12.30 for lunch and then two double sessions in the afternoon.
The balloons would still all have to be pre-inflated though, forgot to mention that the 1000 balloons took Lyn and I around 4hrs 30 mins to inflate the day before and we still had to blow up at least another 250 on the day.

The plan was to have 9 sessions with each individual class but the 20/25 mins was just not long enough to make the sausage dog and flower so we did three single sessions with 30 children and then 3 double sessions with 60 children. The double ones were a bit on the noisy side but everyone seemed to enjoy the day and it was nice to see 2/3 from each session taking to the balloons like ducks to water. The school were kind to let me take a few pictures and I suggested the whole school came back in at the end of the day for a group picture which was just great  :D
Yes I know I only showed them the four petal windmill flower which is not my favourite but the children were only 8 to 11 yr olds.

Could do with a few more booking for this day as we only have five at the moment, it may end up all round my house for a twisting session.
Here are the booking details, it's only £10 to come along just so that we cover the hall costs and some petrol, http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/catal ... -23-1.html

I'm not a member so not able to comment but would give a heads up that Ken is doing a big tour around the USA at the moment and putting a few video clips on BalloonHQ.
His last leg of the tour is Europe and the UK.

Wow what an experience the day has been, really enjoyed it. It was hard work though and we did have to double up some of the classes due to not having enough time,
will explain later but need to have a soak in the bath and rest my aching limbs, must be old age creeping up on me  :D
