I don't usually do big stuff.
I've had an inquiry for a balloon truck of about 6x4 feet for November.
If I decided to do it, I'm confident that I would be ready to do it by the time it's needed, and the challenge would be interesting. I'd need to hire a van to deliver it I guess (Staffordshire)

Would anyone be prepared to give me an idea of what they would charge for something like this?
If not, and you are interested in doing it yourself, let me know and I'll pass your details on if I decide not to do it.

Ta.

Anyone heading up from the Wirral? If you would care to save me from the vagaries of public transport I would appreciate it.

Orange 260qs (solid colour) seem to inflate significantly smaller than other colours. This is pants.
Do sempertex orange 260s do any better?

Balloon Chit Chat / Macpump O ring replacement

My Macpump light has been well used, and I reckon the O ring could do with a change. Anyone  know what I should replace it with?

Balloon Chit Chat / Balloon related magic
October 16, 2012, 04:21:00 PM
I've become very interested in magic lately, but I'm a complete novice. Any recommendations  for balloon related tricks/routines from the more experienced magicians would be gratefully recieved.

Balloon Chit Chat / Balloon Bodgery
September 26, 2012, 09:50:22 AM
Lots of twisters have stories to tell about using balloons to fix stuff or solve problems with.
Here's one of mine.

I was camping at the weekend and had no foot pump to inflate my mattress, but I did have my balloons and pump. The inflation orifice was about an inch in diameter. Slicing the closed end off a 350 produced a tube which was inserted half way through into the mattress. Next a 260 was inserted half way and a small bubble inflated and squeezed through to inside the mattress and the 260 was then tied off. The bubble was gently pulled up against the opening. A balloon pump was then used to blow through the 350, squeezing air past the 260 bubble. Hard work, but quite effective.

I would be interested to hear of other examples of ingenious balloon bodgery

I was doing a conceptual art project, getting a thousand random people to write in my book. One of them was the balloon busking guy who regularly works in Chester. The idea was infectious. I bought a kit from the local craft shop that day, and was back for more balloons in a couple of days. A week later I had filled my house with balloons, had 7 or 8 reasonably reliable single balloon models, and discovered wholesale balloon supplies and proper quality balloons.

Within 2 weeks I had made my own clown costume and began busking.

I still haven't completed the conceptual art project.
