Balloon Dog Necklaces!
« on: April 14, 2011, 10:19:00 PM »
Hello!  I wanted to share my latest news in the jewelry making world.  My most recent addition to my shop are these cast metal balloon dog pendants.  They come in pink, purple, and silver with red coming soon, and are cast from my original hand sculpted design. I have a limited supply available for now, but will have more soon.  So what I'd like to know is:  What's your favorite color?  Mine is silver, although I love them all!

Very cute.  Why make just one colour.  Being femail I would have to say it depended on the colour of the clothes I was wearing on the day :D
I remember seeing a thread some time ago about copyright for the balloon dog shape.  I was pretty amazed that anyone could have the cheek to try to claim copyright for making something solid from this shape.  Considering the company in question didnt design this dog in the first place.

I agree!  I am definitely going to have all the colors available, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't have extra silver.   :D  I worried a bit about the Koons lawsuit when I heard about it, but my dogs are my own pieces of art and don't resemble his giant creations much.  I am always dedicated to originality in my jewelry and my artwork.

I wouldn't be scared about the King of Kitch, or more realistically the 'Baron of banal' suing you -- if he's so sure the 'balloon dog' is his then he's got an awful lot of people sue!!  (and anyway, given what I've just said, he'll be suing me before you!)

You keep going with your wonderful necklaces  :D
