Title: April Model of the Month (Sword)
Post by: Graham Lee on March 30, 2018, 01:56:14 PM
We are going with the chrome sword for April so that we can send out to people the
new product from Qualatex. The feel and look of these balloons is amazing and
pictures do not do the balloons justice. They are stunning.

Here we go then with the instructions, there will be a selection of colours in the
complimentary bags that we send out with all the balloon orders.

If you use the chrome balloon as is then the blade will be approx. 5 hands/20 fingers long.
You will also get some bubbling of the blade.

If you pre-stretch the balloon, pull it through your finger and thumb then the blade will
be approx. 7 hands/28fingers long plus there will be less bubbling on the blade.

You can also have the handle with three fold twists rather than in the picture
in the post above that has three sets of three bubbles.

Inflate the silver 260 chrome and leave approx. 6 fingers in-inflated.

Make two 2.5 finger bubbles and tie the knot between these to secure.

Twist a 7 finger bubble for the handle and then a 2.5 finger bubble,
a 3 finger bubble and a 2.5 finger bubble for the first of the three
sections to fit between the handle and the blade.

Repeat again with a 2.5, 3, 2.5 bubbles and twist into the handle/blade section.

Do the same once more with a 2.5, 3, 2.5 finger bubbles for the last three twist section.

If the blade section is a little bobbly then run the blade through your hand
to straighten out a little. BUT be careful, do not cut yourself  ;)

Inflate the second chrome balloon leaving approx. an 8 finger section in-inflated.
Twist two 2 finger pinch twists.

Attach the two pinch twists to the back of the handle section of the first chrome balloon.
Run the balloon around the two 2.5 finger chrome bubbles snugly for a good fit.

I then made a 9 finger bubble for the finger guard followed by a 2.5/3 finger bubble.

Twist the second twist into the blade handle section of the sword.

Take the 2.5/3 finger bubble behind one of the three twist sections
and push the bubble into the three twist section.

Twist two more 2.5/3 finger bubbles.

Twist these two bubbles into the next middle section.

Then repeat again for section three of the middle section.

Discard the rest of the second chrome balloon.

Adjust the handle, I think the sword would look good in white and black
as the middle section of the sword does have a face look about it and
might work great for a pirate type sword as well.

The first sword the balloon was not pre-stretched and the second sword was.
There is approx. 6/8 fingers difference in blade length.
