This was the design I showed at The Layla-may appeal balloon training day. The instructors were asked to supple a pdf of the design, as I was not sure how to do that I promised to put the detailed instructions up on balloon chat and will do so later in the month. So if anyone would like to attempt the dog then please do. I have made it five times and differently every time, I like the version with the bow so that is the one I will explain later in the month.

So the balloons I used to make the dog were,
1, 6" geo blossom white
1, 350 white
3, 260 white
1, 260 black
4, 160 white
1, 160 red
1, 160 black

I'm using the blossom on the left, I inflate fully and then let this down, then re-inflate with a Qualatex green pump and use 7 strokes so that the blossom is smaller and softer so that you can put a twist into the top two lobes later. Inflate a 260 to around half way, you will not use all the balloon. Twist two, 3 finger bubbles and then pinch twists these for the top part of the mouth.

Then twist one more 3 finger bubble into a pinch twist for the lower mouth. You then need an approx. 6 finger bubble that twists back into the three pinch twists,
adjust this bubble to look like in picture number six.

You then have to make a side wall bubble in the blossom balloon as in the picture, or you can add a pea or scrap of balloon in the geo before tying and use this to attach the ears.
Another way to do this would be to insert a small bouncy ball into the geo and twist this into the pinch twists for the ears to attach to the geo blossom.
Any problems then please ask. The look of the blossom completely changes once you have the side wall bubble in place. I added both pictures to show the difference.

The eyes I used A 160 black and inflated a 4 finger bubble twisted in half, the nose is a 260 black inflated to 3 finger bubble tied with a soft knot so that it keep a roundish shape.

Tie the black nose to the eyes through the muzzle, then the excess balloon from the nose goes through the geo blossom and ties to the 350.
I'm holding the eyes in position in picture 11 to show how they will fit once tied to the 350.
You could put two small pinch twists into the end of the 350 and tie the nose into these through the geo blossom.

Making the ears, use a 160 and inflate leaving approx. 4 fingers un-inflated, make two 2 finger pinch twists then a 6 finger and 4 finger bubble and twist these back to the two pinch twists. Then twist two 4 finger bubbles and twist these back into the pinch twists.

Push the two 4 finger bubbles inside the 6 and 4 finger ear bubble to form the inside of the ears.

You could try a 5 and 3 finger bubble with the filling bubbles being 3 fingers in length as the ears on the dog I made are possibly a little too big.

Do the same for the second ear, the side wall bubble from the geo blossom sits in the middle of the two pinch twists made from the 160 ear balloon.
You can use the extra from the ear balloon later, one for the tail of the dog and the other to fit around the outside of the muzzle.

Inflate a 260 and leave a 5 finger un-inflated end, make a small 2 finger bubble and then a 12 finger loop/fold twist. This should fit snugly around the 350, I usually twist this around the 350 but wanted to show it here separately, then twist a small 2 finger spacer bubble followed by a 2 finger pinch twist and wrap the 260 around the 350 and twist into the pinch twist.

Repeat with a 2 finger spacer bubble and another 2 finger pinch twist and fold the 260 around the 350 snugly. Inflate another 260, leave approx 5 fingers un-inflated and tie this into the pinch twist and repeat the steps so you have five loops in total going around the 350.

Make a 3 finger pinch twist in the 350 and then a 3 finger bubble and attach this to the last pinch twist you made in the 260 that sits around the 350 balloon.
Use a 160 balloon and attach to the mouth of the dog.

Gently stretch the 160 around the outside of the 260 for a snug tight fit.
Inflate a 160 leaving 6 fingers un-inflated, make a small 2 finger bubble followed by a 6 finger fold twist, lock together. Then twist a 2 finger pinch twist,
push the 160 between the first and second loops that go around the 350 and leave approx. a 4 finger bubble for the leg.

Make a 2 finger pinch twist and then another 6 finger fold twist for his other front foot, I normally twist another 2 finger bubble and twist this into the pinch twist of the first foot made,
the bubble from the first foot comes across to the other pinch twist of the second foot so having two spacer bubbles to help hold the two feet together, more for safety really.

Add the back legs, make the same as above and push the 160 between rings four and five of the 260 that wraps around the 350. Use an excess 160 and leave approx. 16/20 fingers in length for the tail and attach to large 350 pinch twist. Inflate a red 160 about half way, twist a 6 finger bubble followed by a 2 finger pinch twist and another 6 finger bubble for the bow.
