I love tapatalk, it's great. I think I need to get an ipad. I like the look of your shell Dave, looks 3D'ish with what looks like a double bubble in the centre. I was playing about with the Snail Shirley showed at the Leeds day as that also had a nice look to it as well. Here come the instructions to how I made it, it does not matter how you make the snail as there are a few ways
to get from A to B and all are correct but the construction of how I made it may help some.

The blush was inflated with a 3 fingers un-inflated and two pinch twists made, this is where I attached the wobbly antenna's although some have fitted onto the top of head which makes for a slightly different look.

Twist four 2 finger bubbles for the mouth section and twist these back into the first two pinch twists.

You then need a 1 finger bubble, 3 finger bubble and one more 1 finger bubble which will be the top of the head.

The last twist goes between the second and third twist of the mouth/lower head and you have to push the air along the balloon so that you have what looks like an un-inflated piece of balloon to twist under the lower mouth and back into the first two pinch twists.

Hopefully the pictures will help with this discription, I did say hopefully!  :)

Then make a 3 finger bubble for the eyes and split into two and push into place.

Get an Orange balloon and inflate a 3 finger bubble, I have a knot at both ends. I like this better than a knot at one end and no knot at the other.
You can use the end of two balloons and have no knots at all as well, so many possibilities.

Anyway split into two and put a knot in the middle to hold the two bubbles in place and attach around the pinch twists.

I then made an 8 finger bubble for the neck and then two 7 finger bubbles for the body.

I think my model looks to have a slightly long neck so you may want to do a 6 finger neck and the body with two
8 finger bubbles or you could do a 6 finger neck, two pinch twists and then two 7 finger body bubbles.

The shell you will need to leave 3 fingers uninflated and make a pinch twist at the end of the balloon, a 7 finger bubble followed by two 2 finger pinch twists.
(leave these out if you put the pinch twists into the blush balloon as described about, you can also inflate the shell balloon to leave a 1 finger bubble if
you do not put these pinch twists in the shell balloon)

Attach the first pinch twist to the back of the snails body and the 2 pinch twists around the front bubble of the snail.

You then need another 7 finger bubble which is twisted into the back of the snail and around the single pinch twist.

Then curl up the remainder of the balloon tightly and push this down between the 4 body bubbles of the snail.
So that it pushes the bottom two bubbles out slightly which will make for a good fit.

Hope this has helped some out and if no one has made the snail could you try while reading the instructions and see if it all goes to plan.

I have just been looking through my hundreds if not thousands of pictures of balloons looking for a new model of the month and found this snail form a while ago which has a different face.
