We are going a little mad for September, although I think the model is doable. It just uses two raisins for attaching the ears.
We are going to make the Cat with a geo head, just about to start putting up the instructions.

This is what will come in the complimentary balloon packs this month,

2, 260 black
2, 260 white
1, 260 rose
2, 160 black
1, geo black
1, geo another colour

the odd colour geo is for you to practice first before you try making the cat with the black geo.

Here we go then with the instructions for this month, please post a picture if you do make it.............Thanks.

Only those that received the complimentary balloons in their orders will go into the draw but all are welcome to have a go and perhaps come up with a variation or two on the design.
The prize this month is another balloon modelling DVD, I would like a picture of you with the DVD if OK so we can publicise your website and facebook page and balloon chat as well.

So you need to have two raisins in the geo donut balloon, this is just a scrap of balloon tied into a knot or two knots.
I inflated the geo donut to 6 strokes of the qualatex pump, so 3 full in and out strokes.

I have tied the raisins on mine in with a scrap of white so they show for you to see, but do in black or do not tie at all.
Once you have made the ears later you can grab hold of the raisin through the geo and wrap that around the pinch twist of either ear.
For the first few times though perhaps tying them up and getting in correct place would be good. The raisin needs to be symmetrical (that is a big word for me)
when looking face on and side on so the ears are not being one forward and the other slightly backwards.
Sometimes things are hard to explain with just text!

Inflate a white 260 to about half way and make two 2 finger pinch twists and then a 3 finger pinch twist for the nose and mouth of the cat.
You then need a 3 finger fold twist which is a 6 finger bubble, this is twisted into the three pinch twists.

Then twist another 3 finger fold twist for the other side of his whiskers.
You then need two 3 finger bubbles for his eyes and the second twist goes around the three pinch twists.
The rest of the 260 is pushed through the centre of the geo donut.

We are now going to use a 260 black to make the body of the cat, this is what we are after in the first picture.
Inflate the 260 and leave approx. 6 fingers un-inflated.
Make a 2 finger pinch twist, this is tied onto the 260 white at the back of the head.
Make sure you pull the white balloon nice and tight through the geo donut so the face sits snug to the geo donut.
You then need a 2 finger bubble and another 2 finger pinch twist.

Make a 5 finger bubble for one of the legs and then a 2 finger pinch twist, this will help the feet sit nice and flat later when they are attached.
You then need another 5 finger bubble that is twisted back into the second pinch twist you made for the neck.
Followed with another 5 finger bubble for the body and a 2 finger pinch twist which will help the tail to sit up and in the correct position later.

Now we need a 5 finger bubble for a back leg that is twisted into the pinch twist that will hold the feet in place later.
Then another 5 finger bubble for the other rear leg that will go back to the tail pinch twist and twisted together.
I like to bulk the body out a little so run a 5 finger bubble up to the neck pinch twist.

Then make another 5 finger bubble back to the tail pinch twist.
The remainder of the 260 will be the tail, mine was approx. an 6/7 finger bubble.
The white I make a 2 finger bubble that twists into the black pinch twist for the neck,
then I deflate and leave a 5 finger bubble that is pushed into the front legs to look like his chest and the balloon is tied into the pinch twist for the tail.

Inflate the other white 260 to about half way, twist a 3 finger fold twist.

Attach this fold twist to the pinch twist and the bottom of the cats legs.
Make three more 3 finger fold twists.

Hopefully the body of the cat will be looking something like this?

I did say we might go with plan A or B for the ears or I might come up with a plan C, well this is plan C.
Inflate the 160 black to approx. half way and make a 1 finger pinch twist, make a 2 finger bubble, then a 3 finger bubble and then a 1 finger bubble and twist into the pinch twist.
It is important to have the 2 and 3 finger bubble in the correct order so when the ears are attached they look like they are protruding outwards from the centre of the cats head.
Make another 1 finger bubble and roll this in between the 2 and 3 finger bubble so you have two 1 finger bubbles at the bottom of the cats ears.

I leave some excess when inflating the 160 so I can then stretch the knot over to the other side of the ear so it all locks in place as in the third picture.

Make two 1 finger bubbles, then a 1 finger pinch twist.
This is followed by a 2 finger bubble and a 3 finger bubble, the 160 is then twisted in the centre of the two 1 finger bubbles you made.
This forms the other side of the ear and then make a 1 finger bubble and twist this into the pinch twist.

Take the raisin and twist this into one of the pinch twists for the ear.
Do the same for the other ear, make sure you twist these really tight.
I had a 3 finger bubble tied loosely for the nose which you attach to the top of the two pinch twist, I left the end protruding so it looked a little like his/her tongue.
I also twisted the knot from the geo into the 3 finger fold twist for his mouth, it holds the muzzle section nicer in my opinion.
You will need to have some excess on the geo donut knot to do this.

Add the artwork.

Now having made this I think possibly the cats body could be a little larger, so if you make it 6 fingers for the legs and body instead of 5 as per my instructions then you will run out of black 260's so I have added an extra into the complimentary packs if you wanted to try a larger body.
There is also a spare 160 if you would prefer this for the tail rather than the 260 so it would look more in proportion.

I changed the back ground at the end for a better picture.

Anyway good luck and I wonder who will be the first to post?

Got my balloons today and given it my best shot, I added in the extra 260 black into the body as suggested...admittedly couldn't get mine to stand on its own so blue tacked it to the wall

Fun fun, I'm pretty chuffed, never done raisin twists before or used geo blossom before  :D
