Whilst I had really wanted an iphone the 2 people I know with one have both had theirs back in the shop having gone wrong in one way or another.

Also if you are looking at it as a diary / pda too just bear in mind that if your phone goes wrong so does everything else.  I had wanted to get a blackberry and my hubby talked me out of it for that reason.  I now have a really nice pda and a rubbish mobile but I have also bought a paper diary for next year as having gone a year without I am tired of seeming like a fool faffing with my pda to see if I am free for work - it takes too long.  I shall still keep it as it is a good tool for putting lots of info on for bookings like contact numbers, addresses, what I am doing at the booking etc.

Fully agree with having a paper diary as opposed to electronic.

Ruffling paper on the phone to check if your are available sounds a lot better.

i use an htc phone from orange its great because when i take bookings and put them on outlook(my calender) on my computer i plug my phone into the computer and it sincronises so any info i have added on either pc or phone is exchanged so if anything goes wrong i always got back up.
but heaven forbid anything happening to both at the same time i always use the good old back up of the diary.
the htc tytn 2 that i have is very simple to use and i can quickly check on what bookings i have as i am on the phone when someone rings me to check my availability.
i have use htc phones(that incorperate windows mobile)
since they came out a couple of yrs ago, and wouldn't change for anything else
hope this helps kerry

The latest HTC hero is really good and a match for the iphone in functionality - I don't have any experience of the blackberry

Iphone all the way!

I've had both, and the iphone wins hands down! Next door guy has the blackberry storm, and its shocking, he's had nothing but trouble! And if your wanting touch screen, the iphone has the best screen out there! (i think)

Over the years and dozens of phones I've had, the Iphone is by far the best I've ever used. I've had it now for about 6 months or more and by now I'm normally bored with it and looking forward to changing it, but not this time.

I know that Clive (Emazdad) also has the same Iphone and he loves his too.

I've never tried the Blackberry so couldn't comment on that.

Hi
I have a Blackberry, it is okay I do like it. I have tried a friends Iphone and it appear to be alot faster. There seems to be better applications for the Iphone also. But the Blackberry Curve has been the best phone I have ever had.

Vodafone are doing a great deal on a blackberry curve which I was tempted by but they will be selling the iphone in January as well. What a dilemma for someone that is not a techno foeb (and doesn't even know how to spell it)
