Absolutely fantastic Kevin. Loving not just the work but also the thought of the harpic placement too  :D

So glad you like this. I made it for no reason at all apart from me wanting to have a bit of fun with my balloons

I was in a fancy dress/joke shop and saw this toilet gag, and thought it would translate well to balloons, so tried to make it up.

This time of year is very quiet for me so sometimes I make stuff for fun, and put it on facebook, just to keep my profile out there
Kind regards
Kevin

Thanks Dan as well for your kind comments, hope we can meet up at one of Grahams days.

When my friend Ann helped me with my first website, as a non balloon person, she saw the photos, but had no idea of the scale of the models, so now I do like to put an appropriate reference point in.

Harpic was fun and appropriate here, wedding balloons I often put a Champagne bottle to give an idea of the size of my sculptures.

Darren has set a great standard for his reviews. All the models he makes and photographs are by his stairs, which gives an instant reference point to the scale of his models......and tells me his house is a lot tidier than mine  :D

I started to take photos with a brick background for a few reasons. Many years ago a customer complained the model I supplied to a party was too small. Now with the bricks it is much easier for a customer to guess the approx size. I also use the same background so that if my photos are stolen there can be no doubt they are mine. I challenge anyone to take a photo with the same background.

Cool! I can figure out the monster, but am having problems figuring out the toilet. What size balloons did you use?

Hi Alysia.

The toilet is made from 660 and 360 balloons.

I made a central column from a 660 with a really deep tulip twist, to give it a flat bottom. the base is a 360, wrapped round this column at the bottom, and secured with a couple of pinch twists at the back.

The bowl is made the same, but with a 660. Wrap it round the central column, and secure at the back with a couple of pinch twists.

Next take a 360, make a pinch twist in the end, leave a straight section about 6-8 inches, make another pinch twist, and then for the top of the bowl make a loop round to the first punch twist. This part is then stuck to the 660 with double sided tape, keeping the straight section at the back.

The raised seat is 350 loop from one of the back pinch twists to the other, and then "filled in" with 360s. A few pieces of double sided tape help !

The cistern at the back is a 660, bent into a squareish shape, and tied on the back, a 260 r0und the top gives the effect of a lid, and is held on with a few strips of double sided tape.

Hope this helps  :D  :D
Kind regards
Kevin
