Title: Balloon Costume
Post by: Thelma Levett on December 10, 2008, 11:10:25 PM
My brother asked me to make myself available for a photo shoot.  He is doing a photography course at college and the topic of the assignment is futuristic.  So he asked me to make something in that vain.  I decided to have a go at an outfit.  I only had two hours from start to finish so I didn't do a tight weave or anything like that.  My brother was pleased with the look.  Shame he couldn't get the camera to work properly!!  This is taken with my digital camera.  It is my first solo costume with inflated balloons.  Now I think I need a thinner younger model for my next one.

Thelma, is that really you..............it looks very futuristic to me and a good picture to use on your new website.
Any news on when it will be up & running?
Did your brother not get any pictures on his camera?

Maybe I should go goth!  All dark make up.  Or maybe I should wear balloons more often.  Thanks for the thumbs up folks.  Jordan. the gun isn't something I designed myself.  I have no idea where it comes from but I have been making it for the past 9 years or so.  Here is a photo of it as I make it normally.

Sorry but no.  I don't post instructions for things that don't belong to me.  If you look you will see it is simple.  I have absolutely no idea who did the design.  Its a really old one though like I said.

I have been looking for a pair of shoes to jump out at me for my working costume.  The shoes I have at the moment are getting a bit old.  But I just haven't seen anything that quite fits the look I want.  But the other day I had an idea.  I bought a pair of those comfy plastic shoes.  Can't remember what they are called.  They cost me the grand total of £2.99.  Because they have all those holes in them they lend themselves to being customised.  So here is how they look at the moment.  Of course the beauty of this is I can have a different pair of shoes every week.
