The challenge for this week is Captain America, I'm starting a different
thread as I made quite a few variations on the shield and did not want
to clog up the main thread too much.

Challenge thread, Captain America is on page 5,

So how the shields came about.

All these shields I made a few weeks back now.

These ones were made over the weekend.
Made from 260's,
then I wanted to take the white pinch twists out of the outer red section.

The blue in picture two is a 350 and then we wanted to add white
so went with 160 to make it look a little more like the real deal.

I tried the red in a 350, it looked to bulky to me.
I prefer the middle shield.

Alergy

I really like the ca18 shield
Looks like the white flower hellebores

So Captain America started out looking like Dick Dastedly from the Ant Hill Mob.

Then version two his leg and chest proportions were again wrong.
His legs were too long to the body.

A 260 around the waist section sorted this out.

I then tried for a different style head, the lower section was 5" round.
It looked too thin in the face for me.

The one above is from Ken Stillman and his super hero's design.

I'm not sure I have a favourite but these are the two designs we ended up with.

I went with a 646 for the lower jaw on version two.
