Well its that time of the year again and on 14th November im hoping to fundraise (as part of pr and marketing) I will be making one balloon bears with a scrap of white balloon with spots for the eyepatch. Just the addition of the eyepatch made all the difference, he was instantly recognisable.
Last year it was the local diy superstore, i was there for 4hours and raised 60 squid. I made a bob the builder for the manager.
I also had a number of people wanted me to make other stuff but i only took yellow and white with me (daft aint i )

Still looking for a venue for this year.

Anyone else got any plans?

Good Luck Mandy - I like the idea of a single model.

I'll be away on holiday for it this year so I won't be doing anything on the day although I'm sponsoring a couple of people raising funds

I'm involved with Terry Wogans Old Geezers so I've done a few things in the past. like climbing Snowdon and doing the TOGS marathon. A couple of years ago we had a thing going of sending Pudsey around the world - just TOGS taking their own Pudsey wherever they went - I took some pictures of him on Catalina Island and Tortola in the Caribbean I'll put the link up to them later

Hi Mandy.

Any chance of a photograph of the bear? I'm really interested in the eyepatch. I've sen drawings of such a patch and even a description but just can't imaging it from a real balloon.

Hi Henry, its just a scrap of white, a well softened bubble in the middle.
One tied end wound around one ear, the bubble stretched across the face into position over the opposite eye, and the other tied end wound around the neck at that same side. trim and hide the ends.

the spots are just drawn on with markers.
just a simple addition makes the one balloon bear instantly recognisable as Pudsey.

Using several 646's, and a scrap of 360. Looking forward to the Sempertex 660's for models like this, you won't need so many!

The 646 Bear and  Pudsey Bear ears complete with bandage.
The ears hat is very simple to make. Two 260s and a scrap of 350/360. If anyone wants instructions let me know and I will try to post tomorrow.
