With Easter on the way, I thought I would put a few ideas up showing some Easter designs I have made up in the past. Hope they may give a few ideas to anyone doing Easter displays  

Excellent Kevin, I have to make a big display for Friday. Will give me some ideas.

The big bunny was a great attraction at a local pub over the Easter weekend. It was a great photo attraction, got good business for lunches at the pub, and was also good advertising for me.

The bear with bunny ears was made for a museum on Portland, an isle near where I live. It is a very strange place, with a lot of superstition and history about it. If anyone has seen the film "The Wicker Man" ( the original with Edward Woodwood and Christopher Lee, not the awful remake) that is what it is like  

You cannot mention rabbits or bunnies on the island as they are bad luck, because their burrows have been associated with quarry accidents and deaths from collapsed mines in the Portland stone industry. They are known as "Hoppity Things" or when eaten during meat rationing in the war years  "Underground Mutton"

That is why it had to be a bear with big ears
