I was asked to have a go at Henry this weekend for a young lads birthday party. The parents wanted to have him as a extra special table decoration to sit with his cake. After Googling (is that an actual word yet?) an image of him this is what I came up with. Just in case anyone's interested the head is a 1" Goldenrod Q-Link with a 646 inside to give it the shape I wanted. It's also the first model that I've really used Balloon Bond tape on (his nose). That stuff is amazing! It worked like a charm.

Very Good!!

I would have liked to have seen the hands made with three loops as i think it would be more fitting to this amazing design :)

Hi Darren

'Tis the better half of Dan here - the one who takes the photos :) I am so flattered by your comment - thank you :) The camera is a Nikon D5100 and we simply use a black cloth which is held up behind the model. It has the absolute minimum of editing as I don't like to see overly photoshopped pictures (most of the time all I do is darken the cloth) and it is lovely to see that someone "gets" it :)

Thanks again!

I was thinking at the time I was making him, that the hands and feet weren't exactly as they were meant to be. I decided to go with this way as the feet I had already decided, would have to just be loops and have the legs coming up through the centre for the base attachment. This meant that the hands should be done in a similar fashion, however I think I may try your approach should I have to make him again.  :)

Apparently he's a character on one of the many Disney channels so I learned at the party and he seemed really popular with the kids too. I may have to put my brain into gear to find a quicker version to be used in my restaurant as I think he'll go down a storm there. Many thanks for all the wonderful comments, I hope he gives you all some ideas should you ever be asked for him, or some inspiration for other characters.  :D
